"We made a great choice in choosing the Riverfront Retreat for our Thanksgiving celebration. The large dining table fit our group and its close proximity to the kitchen made serving and cleanup a breeze. One bedroom is set apart from the others which worked perfectly for one couple who ducked out at 5am to catch a flight out of Dulles (about an hours drive) without disturbing others in the group. We enjoyed hiking in Seven Bends State Park and even toured the Shenandoah Caverns (a short drive)....

"Our family of 7 had a great 4 night stay here. The location is so nice with mountain views. The river was great, my husband caught his 1st fish fly-fishing. The house is set up nicely and comfortably. Plenty of beds & 3 bathrooms. Would definitely recommend. "

"We stayed for a long weekend following Christmas - needed to get away from the city for a bit. It's a beautiful house with a great view and good location. It was just 3 of us so the space was fine -- I am not sure I would recommend it for a larger group in winter, as you'd really be on top of each other. For the other three seasons, the deck, hot-tub, and firepit would all be great ways to spread out. Would definitely love to go back sometime in the future!"

"We had a wonderful fall visit at this great cabin. Like others have mentioned, I don't think the pictures really do this place justice. The cabin is very clean, cozy, and comfortable. It has everything you could possibly need. The bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable. The back screened porch was our favorite spot for enjoying a drink and the view of the river. We look forward to going back when it's warm enough to go tubing! Be sure to heed the warnings about critters. We saw deer,...
