"It is a well loved old farm house, with dated but comfortable furniture and appliances. Upon arrival there was a noticeable smell (we just purchased an odor eliminating air freshener to cover). The bunk house had a musty off-putting smell, so we opted not to use it. We didn't use the hot tub as we couldn't figure out how to turn it on/off. It is a no outlet street that is very busy. The traffic greatly exceeded the 20mph speed limit. We also encountered a gentleman on a golf cart who went by...

"This was one of the best, if not the best places we have stayed. The host was the absolute best. Responded in a timely matter and made sure that we had everything we needed. The location is perfect. The best part was sitting outside at night to enjoy the breeze and view of the river. 10 out of 10!!! Looking forward to staying here again!"

Although the beach is ‘private and secluded’ from the public it is shared with two other cabins. We were there while another large family stayed in the other cabin, making the beach not so private and noisy. "We really enjoyed out stay at Scarlet Cabin! It was so quiet and peaceful. We did have a little confusion checking in but we called April and she took care of us. "The owners do try to make your stay pleasant. You can tell they do care and do try to give you a great stay… But the issues/cons were that the water pressure is practically nonexistent for a decent shower. And at night the entire grounds outside in the backyard gets overrun by the biggest roaches I’ve ever seen and my friends seen some inside as well. The pool is just a hole in the ground with a loose liner so the liner can be easily ripped because you’re stepping on it, it and the backyard...
