"We found this wonderful farmhouse Guesthouse by chance, on the internet and so glad that we did. We stayed there for a few days/nights and NOTHING was too much trouble for the hosts, Sandra and Arthur. Indeed, these lovely people being 'natives' to Dartmoor, have a vast knowledge of how anything and everything happens on the moors. Their knowledge is also invaluable when you want to visit beautiful spots and places of interest within the countryside.
We would have NO HESITATION in staying in...
"As a family of four with 2 teens and a big dog, it's difficult to find somewhere not over priced and a big enough space for us all. We stayed in a very spacious family room. Bathroom had a big drench shower and heated towel rail. Plenty of space for our dog's big bed! Ben and the other staff were very friendly and attentive, also accommodating to our needs. Breakfast was included and fantastic choice. We ate at the pub on the second night and the food really was fantastic and a good varied menu....

"If you are looking to stay in a traditional English Pub, this is the place. Cozy rooms with great washroom facilities. Very clean and comfortable beds. Rooms are equipped with electricity outlets, wifi and tv for those needing it. The pub itself is fantastic with a very well stocked bar. The restaurant serves home cooked meals with a great selection of local produce. From this location you are pretty central to either coast and Dartmoor itself. "The picture advertised was not what was offered. The cleanliness was shocking, stains on duvets, towels, bed sheets and pillows - think bad and disgusting and you aren’t even close. Had 3 nights booked, left on day one. Poor health and safety with cables trailing across floors, screws in the carpet and a lighter found under a bed (I was with 4 kids, shocking).

The car park had travelling contractors vans in it in the early evening and all gone before breakfast that starts at 8am.
