Casa Caballo was one of the best rental experiences we have ever experienced (and we have rented many properties in many different countries) and it exceeded our expectations. The property is immaculate. Everything you need to prepare meals is provided. Purified water, purified ice. The property layout provides privacy for 2 couples, each bedroom with an ensuite. We stayed for almost 5 weeks and felt totally pampered. All of the staff and management were a joy to work with. Professional, prompt, attentive!! Any question was answered in minutes. Any maintenance issue was taken care of within the day. The conceriege services - tour guide hookup, drivers, doctor recommendations, were all top notch. The management company Burro y Flauta provides a detailed guide to the property, neighborhood and Merida/Yucatan. It became our source for how to spend our days. The property is convenient to all the major places to see in Centro. So many restaurants are a couple of blocks from this location. We did not have a car but the area is very walkable. And if we wanted to visit someplace a couple of miles away, Ubers were cheap and never a long wait. The plunge pool- wow. What a treat. Twice weekly pool maintenance. We used it daily. And we already miss our daily morning birdwatching from the upstairs balcony. Again, the Burro y Flauta crew really know how to manage vacation properties! Their care and attention made all the difference. Thanks to all.

Merida 25th anniversary trip
My wife and I had a great experience with our VRBO stay at casa caballo en Merida. The location was a close 5 blocks from the center of town and main plaza. Food, bars, coffee shops and live music all very close. Beaituful 2 bedroom home exactly like the photos. Very safe and quiet neighborhood. Air conditioned as well with fans in every room. The dipping pool was perfect after a hot day of walking around. The management was great. Could not have been easier. The kitchen had everything we needed. A five star stay for sure. Great location and service
It is a great house, close to Santa Lucía square. Very well managed and clean and with all the things you would need to cook if you want to. With AC which is a must there and with fans in the tall ceilings. The pool is a perfect size to dip to avoid the afternoon heat. Beto, the manager was super helpful and organized for us a driver, the COVID tests and the pick up at 6 am to leave to the airport. A great experience

Extremely responsive owners and managers. Lovely decor; well outfitted. Renters should know that there is a long flight of inside stairs. Plunge pool is a special asset. The availability of Uber is an inexpensive plus.

Great experience in Merida!
My wife and I enjoyed our first visit to Merida in this wonderful location! Beto was there to greet us when we arrived. He provided us with an excellent and intelligent personal tour guide, Ileana Madera Farfan +529993187799, who took us to the Uxmal ruins and then to a working Sisal plantation for much less cost than a commericial tour bus, and we had her on hand inside the tour to translate for us. This home was very clean and it offered us everything we needed for our stay. We particularly were pleased with the fresh drinking water provided for us! It was very hot, and that was a wonderful thing after a hot day! The pool provided us with a cool retreat during the hottest part of the day, then we made a quick walk down to one of the many fine restaurants in town. We were able to sleep with the help of the air-conditioner located in the bedroom. We walked nearly everywhere, however, we were pampered when we found out we could catch an Uber for a couple bucks that would transport us to nearly everything in town. We even grabbed an Uber to take us to the beach one morning! I highly recommend Mike's property.

Old Mexican charm with a modern flair!
Beautiful home, spotless, well equipped, comfy beds, good location...dipping pool was nice after a long and hot day! Only thing missing is a washer/dryer but wasn't an issue as we were only there for three days. Our concierge Alberto was totally awesome and so, so helpful. Very quick to respond and gave great food recommendations...the owners are lucky to have him. I will rent from them again.

Another Gem from Becca and Mike
The casita was clean and had a wonderful traditional Mérida feel to it. The location is just a touch away from the hustle and bustle of downtown which ended up being greatly appreciated when it was time to get some rest. But you are also less than a 10 minute walk to the beautiful plazas and architecture of el Centro and an even less if you ride the bikes that come with the house! The outdoor space was also quite special when we had some friends over, they said they felt like they were at a 5-star resort with the outdoor grill and beautiful tile fountain. The bedrooms were also very comfortable and had air conditioning and the bathrooms were spacious and modern with large stand-up showers! My only complaint was that the downstairs gets very warm during the day, but it does get comfortable when the sun goes down in the evening especially if you open the windows, there is a nice breeze!! But May is the hottest month in the Yucatán so it is very difficult to escape the heat no matter where you go!! We will probably try another one of Becca & Mikes properties next year, not because of any resentment with this one, but because each one has their own unique and wonderful style and they have become the highlight of our travels!! (: (:

In the heart of Santiago
We stayed for 2 weeks, enjoying the city and interacting with the locals. It is a completely safe neighbourhood and city. The home is comfortable. Traffic noise might be an issue for someone not used to big city living. The representative was a text away to help with any problems and solved a few problems quickly.
