This is a good townhouse with great lake view, abundant birdlife, and a well-appointed kitchen. Two key problems though: 1) the drain backs up out of the lower level toilet-floor grate, resulting in an unpleasant-smelling pool. This has obviously happened before, leading to the toilet door being swollen and now unable to be closed. Discussion with the property manager revealed that this was a problem thought to have been fixed -- fair enough, complications can ensue, but the toilet door should have been repaired. 2) Hot water. Two of us had showers in the morning, 12 hours later, after a day of Merimbula hiking, etc., the water was lukewarm. Managers advised, but they replied: 'the hotwater will heat overnight so if you all showered in the am then you may of run it out!' I advised the above, re: 12 hours had passed. Surely a holiday home can be expected to have hot water more than once a day. No response. So, be cautious booking the place if a hot shower is desired. There were only two of us -- what happens when it is at capacity, with six? I hope the owners get to read this.
