"A really lovely, individual and peaceful property which felt like a home from home. Only a 5 minute walk to the beach. Gorgeous views of Mey Castle from the coastal path. Lots of local walks and coast to enjoy. Dunnet head and beach only 10 minute drive away. The property had everything you could need from a well equipped kitchen to two lovely log burners, one with built in oven (there is also a normal oven in the property). A very helpful and kind owner. "Terrific cottage with a wonderful view and fully equipped!! Bus stop is only steps from the front door making daily outings very easy to plan. I thoroughly recommend this location. "

"Everything was set on arrival. We had a nice stay in a very quiet neighbourhood. Maybe a bit to far if you would not have a car. The house could already do with an update. Especially the kitchen, or rather the equipment. The frying pan for example was really in a horrible state. Some people might like the electricity meter, but I found it a bit creepy, as if we were watched... Another item that clearly needs a change is the mattress. It was way to soft and we could feel the bottom of the bed....

"We enjoyed ourselves in this lovely home! It was very clean, well organized, and beautifully maintained. Everything was very comfortable. Communication with the owner was also fantastic! The home is also within walking distance of groceries should individuals enjoy cooking. This was a great benefit to us! I would recommend this location to anyone wishing to visit the area! Be sure to curl up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy your shows!"

"Katrina the host was very helpful and answered all my questions before arrival. We are a group of 4 Motorcyclists completing the NC500 and this place has excellent secure bike parking in the courtyard garden. House is very clean and tidy. Perfect for what we wanted at a great price. Property improvement suggestions - put more showers in - just 1 shower between 4 bedrooms, could do with a second one. And lastly a very small thing but an easy fix - get a proper bed for the 4th bedroom (2nd bedroom...

"Fantastic stay at John O Groats. We had booked a double ensuite room which looked lovely. When we arrived the manager was waiting for us to ask if we would mind if they upgraded our room as the heating wasnt wasnt working. Obviously we didnt mind. Imagine our surprise when we were shown to our upgraded room. They had given us a three bedroomed, two bathroom lodge which was amazing. Warm, comfortable clean and pur luxury. We settled down by the logburner to watch the sea through the huge windows....
