We had a lovely stay and the home is exactly as cozy and clean as the VRBO listing. All the amenities for grilling, fire, cooking, etc. We loved our "hallmark" movie getaway cabin.

Lovely house across from Penns Creek.
The owner has done a very nice job of renovating this home and making it a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. The photos on the VRBO site accurately depict the property, except that the house is not ON the creek. The road, which has very light traffic, is between the front porch and the creek. You can easily see the creek from the front porch and the house. Also, the firepit by the creek is a little ways down the road, but was absolutely wonderful! (The VRBO description does say that the creek access is 100 ft down the road.) There are 4 chairs provided, with 2 of them are slightly broken, but still usable. The combination of outdoor fire and gurgling creek was just wonderful. We would definitely rent this home again. After checking out on Sunday, we enjoyed a delicious brunch at Rusty Rail in Mifflinburg.

Great creek side cabin
This is a very nice cabin, roomy and clean, convenient to many great locations for shopping, antiques and wineries. Penn Creek is nearby as are State Game Lands and State Parks. We had a great time and Brenda was excellent at communications.

Getaway weekend
Five of us stayed at this wonderful location across the road from Penns Creek. We spent a large amount of time fishing in the creek (bear den entrance to creek to the left as you face the creek) and we have explored some native brook trout streams in the area. Caught a variety of fish (not trout) in Penn's creek and had fun with fly fishing. Cooked on grill and had a fire out back in the fire ring. Saw Eagles, Osprey's, and other birds while enjoying our weekend.

Wonderful Stay for a PSU Game Weekend
We looked at so many different options for accommodations for a Penn State game and visiting our son who attends there. This ended up being the perfect place. The price is very reasonable for such a lovely, clean and comfortable home. The creek is really pretty. The bed was so cozy, the upstairs bathroom is like a spa and the downstairs bathroom is well designed and functional. I can't overestimate the convenience of two full baths. The kitchen and sitting area had all we needed. It was a very easy 45 minute drive in the AM to the south parking area for the game. I didn't time the way back, but we seemed to avoid all of the real traffic. We enjoyed the nearby Rusty Rail Brewing Company. We only needed to contact Brenda once, but she replied right away. She also left chocolates!

Weekend Family Retreat
We had another lovely visit to the Bear Den. We first visited in 2106 and loved it, so when we made our plans for another quick trip to visit family we didn't hesitate to book again. This trip was shorter, but the cottage still met our needs. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds comfortable. The cottage is tastefully decorated and provides a nice place to relax and visit. Thanks so much for sharing your property with us again.

Great host and lovely home!
Very clean and comfortable home! Beautiful area with creek views. The host was very accommodating and helpful, and we loved that everything you might need in the home is provided. There was plenty of soap, detergent, cleaning supplies etc., and some pantry basics. There were even some unopened toothbrushes in case you forgot them. My child loved the comfortable bunk bed and the toys. There were lots of butterflies and fireflies around the property and we enjoyed the nature sounds from the porch and back yard. A lovely getaway!

Beautiful Getaway
The home was tastefully decorated with everything we needed and more. It was the perfect place for relaxing as well as outdoor recreation. Wifi speed was fast, the beds were comfortable, great communication with the owner, and the board games were appreciated. The large bear statue in the back made for some fun memories too. Thank you for hosting our family. My children have been begging to go back very soon!
