East Texas Relaxation At Its Best!
The location/neighborhood of this house was perfect. Quiet, safe, clean, relaxing. The hosts left great recommendations for close placed to eat and enjoy morning coffee (Cafe U was amazing!). Would definitely stay here again to relax by the pool while gazing at the lake.

Making memories
The property is beautiful and just as advertised. Peaceful and breathtaking view! We enjoyed fishing, swimming and just over all relaxing by the water. We had lots of laughs and loved making new memories with the family. We plan on visiting again!

You can step in as if it were your house!
We didn’t want for anything. Everything was supplied. From the fully stocked kitchen to hangers in the closets we loved the attention to detail. The toys, Lego table and dolls and games kept the girls busy allowing the adults extra relaxing time! The pool with a slide was the hit of the stay!! Fishing from the dock was nice. The girls caught many fish. So many it became a competition! Our only wish that it was a bigger recreational lake. Being only minutes away from some quaint shops, and places to eat was convenient. We even had a chance to pick blueberries at a local farm there. It was the perfect spot for a quiet relaxing week with family.

Community Restrictions
The property was perfect except for complaints by neighbors. I rented this facility to attend a graduation of my grandson and have a final visit with my family.We only slept 7 in the house but my family get together for the one day outside in the rear was 13 but was told I could only have 10 which was not stated on the instructions. Also the house was listed to sleep 12. I left after only 3 days of my 6 day rental. I am 89 years old and was making this the last time with my family all together.It is a shame that there are people so inconsiderate and want to ruin what could have been Sunday and Memorial May 26 and 27 For more quality time with my loved ones.I left on Sunday morning to avoid any further complaints. Possibly you need to investigate further so that no one else experiences what I did.

Heaven on Lake Brenda
This is our second time staying at this property and it never disappoints! Our grandkids loved swimming and fishing every day. The adults loved the “laid back” feeling of Mineola. I particularly loved being 3 minutes from Walmart! The owners are such a joy to work with. They are always available to answer any questions and to help with any problems The best recommendation that we can give is that we have already reserved our vacation for next year! Thanks for sharing your house!

Great weekend getaway
My family recently visited this home and had a great time. The home is spacious and very clean. The kitchen is well stocked, and although you feel far from town, stores are very close if needed. For a large group parking can be tricky so check on that, and if you are traveling with older folks that have bad knees, etc. it can be a bit challenging to get down the steep stairs from the back porch down to the pool area. Otherwise, this home was wonderful.

So comfy & spacious
The house is in a neighborhood, it was quiet & peaceful. This was a girl's trip for us & we all loved the house. The beds were comfy, plenty of closet space, and large bathrooms. (We had an issue with a shower faucet and the owner responded within minutes.) The living room has a large L shaped sofa so we all got to stretch out & visit. The kitchen was well equipped, the stove top is gas, there's even a countertop ice machine. The pool was nice (take your flip flops, the deck is sharp gravel & impossible to walk on bare footed.) There are steps leading down to the pool, so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues. There was plenty of ourdoor seating. We are already planning a return trip.

Beautiful house and sweet town
Large house well appointed with what is needed. Tv in every room, air conditioner works great. The pool and slide were a hit with the kids and the lake has bass and crappie to catch. The house was very clean and comfortable. The owners responded immediately when I had questions and concerns. We had a great time and highly recommend this VRBO.

A Peaceful Getaway, An Oasis In the City
We had an amazing stay! The home had everything we hoped for and needed. The best mattresses we have ever slept on. Everyone commented on their comfort and how well they had slept. We'd like to ask about the manufacturer, because we'd like to buy our own. The grandchildren loved the bunk-room/game-room. The house, the pool and the setting were perfect. Beautiful gardens everywhere. It's A Beautiful,Calming and Peaceful Oasis. We hated to leave.....So we'll be back, and we highly recommend this home! We thank you for opening your amazing lake home to us!

Little Slice of Heaven
This is the best VRBO home that we have ever stayed in! Not only was it pristinely clean, but we found fresh flowers, bottled water, and the absence of cobwebs from all porches and the gazebo. Our 3 grandkids loved the swimming pool, especially the slide! The grandkids have never been able to catch fish anywhere, but here caught over 3 fish. My husband caught owner 5 bass! And they caught them from the pier, not a boat. My grandson told me he wanted to live here. That to me is the best recommendation to stay here ever. And the property owners were attentive to our every need. We will definitely return. Thanks for sharing your home with us and for all the special memories that were made!

Kelly’s Bday Weekend
The house was so clean, beds were comfy, the home was easy to find and get to. It was close to the Walmart, for any items we forgot. The kitchen was large enough to hold our group of 8. The pool was a great addition, with plenty of outdoor seating. The grounds were well kept, with flowers, and a beautiful view of the lake. I will say, the driveway area is tricky and rather steep but wide enough and able to hold a few vehicles. This house was a perfect get away space. I hope to use it again in the near future. Kelly the owner was very easy to work with. All of our group agreed, this place is a gem.

A Little Paradise
We rented this beautiful lake house for First Monday Canton shopping. Gorgeous and quiet lakefront property, spacious, well appointed, and immaculate. As pictured. So many beds and lots of outdoor seating. Very attentive hosts! We will be back in warmer weather when we can enjoy the pool!

Peaceful Lake & Nostalgic Little Town
The house a good size with lots of room for friends or family and their kids. Big comfy couch in the living room and a large TV. Huge backyard with a fire pit and a pool. We saw and eagle flying over the lake. It Flew over us while we were talking around the fire pit and was almost close enough to reach out and touch it! The little downtown nearby was straight out of 50's. There is an ice cream shop, a small bar with a back room and a a few shops and places to eat. We will definitely be going back.

Family friendly with plenty of amenities to enjoy!
This home was not only beautiful, it was practical on many levels. The kitchen was full of anything we needed to cook with, the game room was not only full of toys & games for the little ones, it had a foosball table and a gaming system for the adults/older kids to enjoy, the bedrooms were perfectly comfortable, the layout was great, the living area was so comfy, especially the electric fireplace, and last, but not least, the lake view was beautiful. We could all totally relax and unwind during our stay. Then there's the quaint little downtown of Mineola, full of character, good food and shops, plus friendly folks. A bonus was the drive over to nearby Lindale where we saw the spectacular Christmas/Winter lights & displays in Picker's Pavilion. What a treat for the best photo ops ever! We highly recommend Reel Retreat, you won't be disappointed!
