We thought the property was beach front but it’s actually on road behind beach (access between properties opposite). Still it was a great place to stay, well equipped and Mission Beach is beautiful

Great location, across from beach
We had a very comfortable stay. The living space is great, with lots of things to do (handy when it's rainy) . The kitchen was well equipped. We loved eating out on the front deck. Beds were OK. The location is perfect - right across from the beach, nice and quiet, but not too far to drive to the supermarket, mission Beach Central, or the national park walking trails. Driving around the roads through the national park we saw several cassowaries. We loved nearby Kennedy walking trail and Licuala forest walk. Laceys creek is great too. Tip for families - if it's raining, the local library is fantastic to keep the kids entertained.

Not bad for the price
Good location, although the pictures indicated it was right on the beach and it isn’t. Property needs some maintenance done. Peeling paint, dripping air con (into wardrobe), broken step tread, broken shower door, tired looking compendium with out of date information. One of the beds was very hard and uncomfortable. Good kitchen (but coffee machine doesn’t work great-doesn’t get very hot) Could be really nice with a little bit of love.

A very relaxing and enjoyable stay
We spent 4 nights with family. The property is in lovely location situated across the road from the beach and close to amenities.. the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room in the lounge and big balcony to socialise. My only suggestion would be have a BBQ. Would recommend this property to friends.

Perfect location
Paul was great to deal with and answered any questions promptly. Wongaling Beach is perfectly placed to tour the Cassowary Coast. My husband and I plus our son, his wife, a 2 1/2 yo and a nearly 6 month old stayed for a week. Would recommend this property to others looking for a great holiday experience.

My experience
The cottage was wonderful. It was clean, attractive, had heaps of room for someone with a disability. My only concern was lack of handrails on the steps which for my friend made it difficult. other than that it was close to the beach - across the road and close to facilities.

Casual beachside retreat
Well appointed and just across the road from the beach. Paul, the owner, was very helpful and able to assist when required. House has everything needed for a casual stay by the beach. A little out of town so you need a car to get to the shops, but if you want a quiet stay would highly recommend this lovely beachside property

Loved our stay
Paul was easy to communicate with. He was prompt with his replies. The cottage was close to the beach - across the street and over the dune system. Sadly we could not see the ocean from the cottage but since it was overcast and windy in the beach, this was not a bad thing on the weekend we stayed. The cottage is sheltered from the wind. The facilities at the cottage suited us. Thanks Paul.

Comfortable and relaxing
Cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay even down to the hammock on the front porch! Clean and quiet area and close to the beach. Wi-fi worked great too and Netflix included was an added bonus!
