"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Talkeetna Wilderness Lodge. We'd been traveling in Alaska for about ten days and wanted a quiet break before moving on. Our cabin was a perfect solution. We rested, walked the trails, watched the nearby river, and enjoyed the screened porch. After a cloudy day, we peaked outside that evening to find the aurora borealis making a show overhead. "It was close to Talkeetna and everything we needed. I felt like I was in a 4 star hotel and the bed was more comfortable than mine at home. Jana was very gracious and left water, beer and snacks in the fridge. The only thing we missed was a bigger coffee pot. Would recommend this cabin if you are staying in Talkeetna."

"What an amazing property! Although checking in during the Montana Creek wildfires, we were assured we were safe. We enjoyed watching the fire fighters ;). My only regret was not spending more time at this stop! It was like living in a storybook. Maybe add outside chairs on the porches? "

"This was a great spot to be off the beaten path, and a good place to chill after hiking and fishing. It is in a nice rural setting but still fairly close to amenities. Having coffee available for us was nice. There are just some basic cooking supplies, but we didn’t plan on cooking much anyway. Host was super responsive, and she had great communication with us before and during our stay!"

"BAIT AND SWITCH! From New Sweet Little Cabin, to a room in the basement! Except for a text shortly before my arrival, the host, Regina, did not communicate that there had been a change. I arrived expecting to be in my own private cabin. Instead I was led through the hosts house, down some stairs to a room in her basement. This was totally unacceptable. "Room was very nice, with a large comfortable bed. Breakfast was fantastic. House was peaceful and quiet. There was some water pipe noises from guests in other rooms. Loved the outside decks! We also took advantage of adding the dinner and it was delicious and so convenient to not have to travel or wait for a table at another place."
