We had a nice stay at the cottage - it was cute and comfortable. Due to a rainy week, we didn't get to enjoy the beach or fire pit until our last day, but what nice little perks. We never figured out the beach pass situation, though. We went to the HOA office but they were closed.
There is no laundry onsite despite the listing saying there is. While there are a lot of amenities included, especially for dog parents (which we aren't), there are no cooking items like oils, spices, etc. Most houses I've rented have had basics. Bring extra hand towels - it was a damp house so the towels don't dry out between uses. We ended up buying some towels form the dollar store. Also no dust pan, so we just kept sweeping the sand into a corner all week.
The biggest issue we had with the house was our inoperable bathroom sink. Monday morning I notified them and they didn't fix it until Thursday despite multiple messages to the management. 4 days without a bathroom sink.
We also realized on the last day there that there are some beach items to use in the closet downstairs, but when we checked in and peeked in, it was so messy and disorganized, we didn't think the closet was meant for guests so we basically left it alone.
The property itself is fantastic and quiet - great fire pit, and i loved the adirondack chairs on the patio.
