Plenty of beds!
Our kids loved this little cabin. Plenty of beds available in there…. A bed in a loft, bunk beds, & a bed in the little side room. We stayed a couple nights to go digging for crystals in the area. The owner was quick to respond and give some recommendations on where to go and we had a blast digging. There several mining places not far from the location and little town about 15 minutes away. Great if your wanting something alittle more nature-y than a hotel. In the same line as an extended stay with a kitchenette, which is what we wanted.

Nice little getaway that needs a couple updates
This is a sweet little property that was perfect for our quick change of Spring Break plans. It was perfect for 3 kids, ages 10-15 and mom and dad! The location was great for hiking, fishing, crystal searching, diamond mining and a rainy day trip to Hot Springs. A couple of updates would make this stay nicer. The kitchen tools and utensils were minimal and made cooking for a family challenging. The pots and pans were broken or flaking Teflon, with the exception of 2 pans which we used all weekend. The chairs felt like we were going to fall through them at the table and the shower curtain was moldy. Again, nothing that would deter a stay but it could have been nicer with little work and little money.

Cutest little cabin!
My daughter wanted to go to Mount Ida for her 16th birthday to dig for crystals so that’s what we did! I stumbled on this cabin and fell in love with it! It’s the cutest cabin with a really cool loft that my daughter called shots on. It had everything we needed for our weekend stay. We visited Avant Mining where we dug for crystals, ate at Shack Attack, Mount Ida Cafe, went to Mountain Harbor resort where there’s a little 2 foot pool my son swam in, ate dinner there, such a cool spot! We went to the Mid Adventure Museum which was so much fun my son asked if we could come back again before we left to go back to Texas. It was a long drive but so worth it! I’d love to go back in the winter time when it’s cooler! Kristi H

Property was cute but could use a few updates. Door lock was a little tricky at times as some building shifting has occurred. Loft was too warm to use and no plug for the fan we saw. A few other minor details that we could work around but overall, good place in the perfect location for the activities we had planned.

You can tell someone had fun decorating this cabin! My kids loved it. It’s really close to the recreation area of the lake and my kids were able to swim and fish to their hearts content.

This was our 1st experience at a rental. It was fantastic! Mr. Steve was very communicative when needed. The cabin was clean & had plenty of room for the 6 of us. We stayed for 4 wonderful nights. There was a grill, outside table, campfire with plenty of chairs, & plenty of outlets with USB plug-ins (having teens this was perfect). The lake is just a minute drive from the cabin & was such a treat for all of us. We swam, fished, & even found crystals. Our last night we had a thunderstorm that knocked out the power for just a minute & then came back on. Lots of fallen limbs, which was great for firewood, but inside the cabin we totally felt safe. If there are amenities that you need town is just 7 - 8 miles away with a grocery store, dollar general, gas station, etc. What a great location! It was so perfect that we made Mt. Ida a part of our life story by eloping!! Bring your sunscreen, bug spray & enjoy this beautiful cabin location. We highly recommend staying at one of Mr. Steve's cabins, I know we will be returning!!

Cute Cabin in the Woods.
My children and I had a comfortable stay at the Fox Den Cabin. It was close to the quartz mines where we were mining and just 30 minutes from down town Hot Springs and Garvan Woodland Gardens. The cabin has everything we needed to make meals, wash up, and enjoy quality family time together. Steven was very communicative and helpful.

A good respite
We rented this cabin for a long weekend. Super clean, lots of linens and useful tools in the kitchen. Wonderful 15 min walk down a quiet road will lead you to a boat ramp and public beach. Close enough to another cabin that if you had a larger group or multiple families would be a fun place to stay together.

God's country
Cabin is prime location for rock hounds. Close to many crystal mines. Didn't get around to fishing on count of bad weather but locals said it's good for bas fishing in the lake Ouachita. Thoroughly enjoying our stay and we will be coming back.

Nice quiet place to stay in the woods. Just far enough off the main road, but not too far. Not a huge place to stay, but we didn't need a lot of room since we spent most of our days at local mines digging for crystals.

Very nice little cabin
Was perfect us. My granddaughter (7yr old) loved the loft area. It is just down the road to the lake. The place was immaculately clean when we arrived. The list of things to do when checking out was short but mostly common sense items. Fully recommend if you are going to crystal mines. They are all within 30 min drive. 5 stars.
