Amazing Property

This property was amazing. Our kids loved swimming, using the paddle board, watching the deer and playing horse shoes. The house was so comfortable and had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this property.

Our favorite place to dogcation!

This was our fourth stay at Mountain Springs Cabin. We absolutely love it. This year the last two days were cool and wet, so we played lots of cribbage and enjoyed the quiet. The cabin has everything needed for a relaxing vacation.

The BEST place to stay.

Escape to Nature

This cabin is great for a girls’ trip—especially if you live in the city. You can actually hear birds in the morning.We’ve visited before, but I think this time we saw the most deer ever. They came right up in the driveway, including a little fawn. So sweet! Definitely recommend booking a stay with friends, family, or even for a bit of self care.(If you bring your cat, they’ll love it too! We let him out on his harness, though he mostly preferred watching things from the window.)

What a dream!

This was perfect for our anniversary trip! The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our long weekend with our pups. Paddle boarding was too fun and the hot tub was such a treat. There was enough space for dog crates so our dogs had a familiar place to settle. We loved our walks around the lake and lounging on the deck. Highly recommend going through the binder they have put together. There are some great recommendations! We loved the Thai restaurant that was listed. There are great book choices upstairs and plenty of puzzles and board games! We really enjoyed doing a few puzzles. Overall a wonderful trip!!

Cozy Private Cabin With Pond

My husband and I enjoyed everything about this place. The beautiful landscaping around the cabin and the pond. We especially liked feeding the fish and watching them jump all over the pond. One of the highlights of our days was seeing a newborn fawn walking by with its mother.The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were very nice and answered quickly to our questions.Hopefully we can return to this place again soon.

Relaxing as usual

This was our 2nd stay here & as usual, was the perfect staycation. Our sweet dog has cancer and it's her last trip. We just love this cabin and look forward to more stays. Thank you for sharing your cabin, it's wonderful!

Gorgeous, quiet, peaceful

Perfect stay for the tulip festival! Cabin has everything you need and then some. For a dog-friendly property, I was pleasantly surprised to not find a single hair from previous pets. Lots of helpful instructions for appliances and thoughtful maps, recommendations for nearby things. This place was seriously peaceful. Zero noise from cars or neighbors, just the wind and the birds. Felt super private and remote, yet just 10 minutes from any dining or shopping. The hot tub and pond were amazing. Those and just the general surroundings were the highlights. I do wish the jets were a tad stronger, but I’m very picky and I think most people would find them to be just fine. I’d recommend bringing an eye mask for sleeping since the bright morning sun comes in before 6am (sounds like a naughty puppy yanked the blackout curtains down that were previously there). All in all, this place was even better than I could’ve imagined and I can’t wait to stay again!

A wonderful place to stay!

The cabin and property grounds were beautiful. The cabin was well stocked with everything we could have needed. We loved Mt. Vernon and the Big Lake area. The hosts were great, and check-in was very easy. Can’t wait to come back!

Fabulous location and property

Everything was wonderful. Super scenic property, close drive to lots of hikes and under 15 minutes to downtown Mount Vernon. Lots of consideration put into the property with items like a fire pit, access to cornhole, great amount of kitchen supplies, bottle of wine waiting for us in the fridge with a handwritten note!

Beautiful Location!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is very warm and welcoming, it even included a bottle of wine in the fridge. The location is great with quick access to downtown Mt. Vernon and a nice drive to Anacortes. We loved the hot tub and looking up at the stars at night. at noght.

Vacation Birthday weekend

This was our first time using VRBO. What a wonder, cozy cabin get-away! Highly recommend staying here. There wasn't the roar of the city which made it so peaceful. The view of the sunrise and the pond was absolutely stunning.

Annual Anniversary Tradition

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at this darling, cozy cabin 4 yrs ago and loved the privacy, all the amenities and charm. This cabin is equipped with everything you need for a romantic getaway! We return every year for our anniversary, a tradition we plan on continuing, as every experience we've had for this idyllic location has been wonderful. John and Mary have done a wonderful job in creating a cozy sanctuary.
