"We stayed here for our daughter's wedding at Historic Shady Lane. We could not have asked for a perfect home to satisfy all our needs while in York for this event. I only wish we had stayed an extra day or so. Pictures didnt do this home justice. We feel so fortunate we got to stay before he sold it. Best of everything in your future endeavors, Hilbert!"

"My husband and I stayed in this cottage for our anniversary. The pictures of the listing were accurate, but the listing failed to mention that the cottage is attached to a residence and sits directly in front of a shop. "I stayed at this property for two nights in June 2024 (Father's Day weekend). I was there with my daughter and her girlfriend, both 18. "The pictures do not do this property justice. We have stayed at water's edge several times, and every time we go there have been more improvements made. This house has absolutely everything you could ever ask for. We had a large party of 16 and there was plenty of space in the house for all of us. "The house is in a great location. Super quiet and friendly area. The house itself was very clean however there was a mixup and the beds had dirty sheets and the trash cans were all full. I received an immediate answer from the host concerning the situation. I believe it may be newly listed so things happen. I was happy to figure what what was going on and I am sure it will not happen again. Parking was very close to the house, there was no problem getting our bags and supplies to the house."
