"This place was a special place for us. The team at Karatu really were special who did out of their way to provide for us when there were issues, and when the first room seemed to have issues (shower drainage, bee hive on the roof, urine smell) they quickly changed the room to a better closer room, and always were helpful in arranging or finding different solutions for transportation issues etc. The place is located 2 hours from Arusha, and around 30 mins from the main gate for Ngorongoro crater....

"This is a lovely property that is more than adequate for a short stay. The grounds are beautiful, the views spectacular and the rooms are comfortable. It had essentially two issues that would stop me from returning. The first is that the meals were not great. Most of the food is provided in chafing dishes and that just doesn’t lend itself to quality eats. It wasn’t that crowded so I didn’t even understand why at least main courses couldn’t be cooked to order. The second was a total lack of...
