My experience with the hotel I booked through Expedia was profoundly disappointing due to a range of issues that underscore a lack of professionalism.
Upon entering my room, I was surprised to find myself sharing the space with another guest, separated only by a flimsy curtain, which significantly compromised my sense of privacy. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the room was subpar, presenting an unkempt environment that was unacceptable for any accommodation.
In my attempt to access the hotel’s Wi-Fi—crucial for finding alternative lodging—I encountered an unusual requirement: I had to surrender my passport in exchange for the Wi-Fi credentials. This unexpected stipulation was perplexing and unprecedented in my experience with hotel services, which typically offer internet access without such conditions.
Ultimately, I chose to relocate to a different hotel rather than waste time pursuing a refund. The unprofessional demeanor of the staff reinforced my decision. Overall, this experience has led me to doubt the reliability of accommodations booked through Expedia, particularly regarding cleanliness and customer service standards.
