When you turn off the gravel road onto your eighth mile gravel path driveway, you start to realize that you are really heading for peace and relaxation. There is one other cabin within sight, and other than that, all you'll see is Forest and river. We spent many hours fishing the bank and wading, but due to a very strong current, possibly due to strong rains, a few small mouth bad was all we could manage. But we had a blast trying.
The cabin is basic and rustic, although the Wi-Fi worked great and the two large-ish TVs, one up, one down, were great. Comfortable beds (queen? full? Didn't have a tape measure to measure the 6" difference). Futon upstairs as well. Very comfortable for this 60 year old and two adult sons guy trip.
All amenities and kitchen devices very well provided. Evening seemed very clean, although you can tell you're in the middle of a forest next to a river in an older home, humidity is obvious. Air conditioning up and down want needed much on our trip but seems adequate should a hot snap hit we enjoyed the many provided fans however.
Deck out back (front?) has a beautiful view of the forest and nearby river. From a distance river looks muddy, but it's stained and actually quite clear. However be aware that, if you wade in the river there are submerged slippery rocks, both my boys till one tumble each before they got the hang of it.
If the weather was hotter, it would have been a delight to arrange a tube trip down the river! Loved it
