"It is a typical cabin. Pretty area. We enjoyed our stay. Probably not the best for children as the steps to the upstairs bedroom are very steep, metal, and are located in a central part of the house. We were afraid our granddaughter would hit her head- but she did not. The heater in main bedroom was not working but others in the house kept it warm after a bit."

"This was perfect. The location to our family reunion at Pickens Lake campground was so easy for us. Having our dog with us was a big part of the goal for our stay. The only hotel I would consider does not allow dogs and the security of us at The Shady Rest gave me peace of mind. Our hosts were gracious and friendly. I highly recommend to anyone going to visit Lake Eufala "

"This property was exactly as listed. It had plenty of room for a big family meal, wonderful views of the lake, lots of beds and extra bedding, fully stocked kitchen, it was perfect for our needs. It is right off the interstate but traffic noise didn't bother us. The host was very responsive. My family would like to go back again next year."

"Wonderful property, right on the lake with stunning views. Fully loaded kitchen with everything you need to cook up something for just you or the whole gang! We did not get to use some of the amenities included with the rental (small boat, water vessels, etc), but the fishing was phenomenal. The owner is incredibly responsive to any questions or concerns and really made the stay a fantastic experience. I’d like to know where they got their toewels! lol Overall, great experience!"
