Great Hosts

The hosts were great and very accommodating. The yurt was so thoughtfully designed and well built with many luxury features. I would recommend booking this property. We had a very peaceful experience.

Sweet Hula Hut

We spent 12 nights in this sweet Hula Hut. It was very comfortable, clean, well maintained and equipped, and the location was peaceful and relaxing. We loved the pool with the little deck and we had some great barbecues! Thank you so much to our gracious hosts Vickie and Wesley. We hope to be back!

South Point Paradise

We had a great stay. The owners were very helpful and kind if we needed anything. Clean, quiet place to stay. Close to south point, whittington beach park, black sand beach, green sand beach and southern most bakery in the US. Recommend to stay here if you're looking to enjoy the area.

Great stay in luxury yurt

This was a unique and excellent property. It was fun staying in the yurt with a great kitchen and luxurious bath. Plenty of solar power and hot water. We rolled up one side of the canvas for an nice indoor outdoor feel. Although we didn’t use the above ground pool, it looked clean and inviting. Don’t hesitate to book this when you’re in the area.

Away from it all.

Off the grid Solar living was pretty efficient until I did laundry on a cloudy day. Lost power at 8:30 pm until 9:30 am. Still a very relaxing 2 weeks spent here.

tucked away gem

This was a cool place to check out as we toured the south point of the island. we did a quick one-day road trip with stops along the way at historical sites. it happened to be cold and windy (!) and so we didn't use the pool but it looks like it would have been nice! the yurt is well appointed and we enjoyed a nice walk on the gravel road that it is on. while it is out of the way from the hustle and bustle, that is sometimes a nice change of pace. We also appreciated that we were able to book only 1 night since many places require multi-night stays.

Private and great location to explore south point and surrounding beaches.

I’m a local I have lived on the big island for 25 years. This was a great opportunity to bring my mother and daughter to south point with out roughing it. The yurt was a lot of fun to stay in. It as most things you will need for your trip. Unfortunately there was no propane for the grill. We were able to pick some up at Ace In town. One issue I did not think of was there is no longer a supermarket in the nearest town. I would suggest shopping before you get to the yurt. The pool was very clean and welcomed extra. The only con was the windows Difficult to keep open and this could make it very hot during the day. Other than that it was great to do something different in such a great location.

Lovely, Unique and Quiet

One of the prettiest areas on the island. Cute and quiet neighbourhood stay. Very nice and comfortable. Pool lovely. Friendly hosts. They do have security cameras outside.

A Yurt with a Cool Breeze!

We had a nice time staying in this cute lil’ yurt! As long as you open up the dome and doors, air flow was nice and kept the yurt cool! It was wonderful to have an oven and a great shower too! So close to the south point of the island and a great hideaway! Oh… and the pool was a nice touch too on a hot day!! Thank you!!!

Beautiful Yurt

Vickie went above and beyond. She took the time to call me to answer questions I had prior to booking. This was everyone’s (group of 3) first time staying in a yurt. This was such a unique experience for us. The yurt is beautifully decorated and clean.

First Yurt

Discovered that we're not Yurt people. Super windy 90% of the time therefore super noisy and absolutely no amenities. Cooler, travel mugs, plastic cups, and very few dishes, no games, TV, radio, not even a flashlight to find light switches. No flow thru had to buy a fan and the fridge shut down at night? No recycling, composting or garbage removal and good luck finding a place that is open. We learned a lot and it would have been nicer but way overpriced for what you get.

Hidden spot

Hard to find but once located was a nice/interesting place. Owners were great and the area is great to explore. I don think there is internet which we tend to get use to but had a good nights stay.
