"Check-in was easy, home was fun to stay and prepare our meals. At first we were concerned upon arrival as the home doesn’t have air conditioning. The home cooled down after opening windows & doors. Two fans, plus a ceiling fan kept us comfortable at night. There is a general store nearby which was helpful. Sunrise was beautiful and we enjoyed the walk to the beach from this home. Recommend staying here and thank you to our host and owner."

"The property is a dream. Large house with separate entries for the walk out basement and upstairs units, perfect for two families to share. We loved the views, the fruit trees (particularly the lychees and mangoes) and my daughter was obsessed with the neighbour's goats who kept sneaking into our yard. "My husband and I only stayed for one night, but could have easily stayed longer if our schedule permit! We split our road to Hana and Haleakala-Kipahulu District trip up over two days, making this the perfect place to rest for the night. We loved the secluded nature of the house and listening to the rain through the open windows at night. The bathroom was very clean and updated and we loved sitting on the back porch in the evening. "

"We spent a long weekend at the Elua Cottage and it was so relaxing! It’s stocked with all of the essentials. It has amazing ocean views and even my 6 yr old was sad to leave. Ocean breeze and the sound of the waves all night were so nice. It really is a gem of a place to call home base while exploring Hana. Easy to find, even after dark. Well definitely stay again!"

"Our stay was as expected— which is a great thing! It’s not fancy, but it was an incredible home base in Maui. The air conditioning was definitely a bonus compared to some other places we looked at. One thing to note is that Google maps does tend to take you down one road too soon. We used the bed and the pull out sofa and both were adequate. "
