Perfect Home-away-from-home for enjoying nature, exploring, unwinding!
House is very inviting, very homey, with modern appliances. Great layout, just settle right in comfortably. Everything one could need is here for a great getaway, we didn't leave the property for 3 days! Exploring the woods and listening/seeing nature, cooking, sleeping late is what it's all about. There's activities to do in the house, and ample property to flop around on. The Host is very pleasant and will accommodate you with local info if you like exploring the local areas. If you like a spot not too far off the beaten path, this is a fine place for a couple, small family or group of friends to retreat to for an extended weekend. Thanks again!

Peaceful retreat
It’s a nice house surrounded by woods and ferns. We enjoyed our stay. Check in was easy and the host was good at communicating with us both in advance and during our stay. Unfortunately we were there during a heat wave, with prolonged extremely high temperatures unusual for the area/season, and one of the bedrooms was too hot to sleep in (air conditioner unit is in the living area & didn’t reach that room). However, that was the fault of the heat-dome weather & not the house. The house was equipped with everything we needed and we appreciated being able to bring our pets.

Great serene getaway
I booked this place to have a short peaceful getaway while having an important business meeting. The house is beautiful and clean, the check in process was simple and Chris was fantastic with providing information about not only the property, but also things to do in the surrounding area. Comfortable, well-equipped home for a getaway
My husband and I had a great getaway in this comfortable, attractive, and well equipped home. The setting is pretty and private (our dog loved zipping around and sniffing) and close to little towns and nice hikes/walks.

We Had An Amazing Time!!!
This was everything we wanted our vacation to be. The cabin was amazing and literally in the middle of the forrest. We were close to both Narrowsburg and Callicoon, so shopping and eating out were options, but it was nice to just stay at the cabin and use the kitchen, grill, and fire pit. We especially enjoyed booking our devices up to the Bluetooth speakers and listening to music while we relaxed in nature. Chris was always a message away if we had any questions about the cabin. We can’t wait to come back next year!!!

Quaint Homey Get Away
The house is quirky in a fun way. Very neat, loved all the views. We saw so much wildlife, from deer to turkey. Easy drive to many places. Very quiet and peaceful. Will definitely stay again.

Hthome away from home!
This was our second stay at this beautiful home. Im from Narrowburgh, and its important for me to get home and be with my family. When we stay here, we joke that its our home. But we really feel that! And we cant wait for our next stay!!!

Amazing ambient
Everything was perfect. It was so good to get away from the city. This place contributed a lot to this. Everything was complete as on the website. The kitchen had everything in abundance. The seating groups were perfect. The television section was great and we enjoyed 3 nights of movies. The beds were great and everywhere was clean. There are no words to say about nature, it is magnificent. We had a great time playing games at home with my two sons and my wife. We would like to come again. We also thank Chris for his help.

Fantastic family holiday getaway
We had wonderful time here! The house is very cozy, with enough space to sleep as well as to cook and gather together for dinner and activities at the big table. Outdoor deck and fire pit in front of the house extend the space for activities. The stream running through the property is a true gem! It’s soft rumble is heard even from the house. The property is in the woods but in close proximity to the towns and “civilization”. Overall highly recommend.

Short Xmas Visit
My wife, and I stayed here for a long weekend over Xmas. Everything in the house was as advertised on the VRBO posting. The kitchen is well supplied and the house is well heated for the winter. The bed is very comfortable. There is some nice hiking nearby. We both enjoyed the stay as did our dog.

Peaceful in a perfect setting
Our Thanksgiving celebration at Chris’s cozy and delightful cabin gave us even more to be thankful for. The cabin was clean and the kitchen well equipped for cooking up a festive feast. The nearby stream was both beautiful to look at and soothing to listen to. Beds were comfortable and the woodsy ambiance was exactly what we hoped for and needed. Overall, a great experience!

Short stay
Silence abounds. The sounds of the babbling brook and the wind prevail. Lots of techy stuff in the house for those who enjoy that gig. Highly recommend this place for a quite getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The pizza at Peppinos in Callicoon is very delicious. They really have there act together

Beautiful home and property. Very peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed exploring the area and property, along with "chilling" on the beautiful deck. Chris was very accessible and communicative, appreciated all the information he provided to us before and during our stay. Home is very well and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.

A Woodsy Retreat
The home and property are very nice. It's somewhat secluded but in a great location - near the Delaware River and close to some very nice small towns. The house is very pleasant and comfortable. The owner is very nice to deal with. We would stay here again.

Amazing Beautiful Escape From Reality!!
What can one say when common words used to compliment will simply not justify what this quick getaway did for my family. Seeing my son bring out the boy in my husband with hiking activity, fire pit burning, s’more making and unexpected night time amazement when looking up at the sky was priceless and unexpected. Game night with our children turned into more than just games as there were so many nostalgic items my husband and I were able to show our kids.. to see their excitement to watch a vhs tape, dance while listening Elvis (vynyl play), playing keyboard on a Casio and an excellent library of literature to feed the brain along with many other stuff we indulged in, has me at a lost of words. Everything was clean, fresh and just Beautiful… my daughter loved the art and really wanted to leave one of her drawings so excuse us for leaving it on the mirror but this place ROCKS!! Again I have to say it really was more than that and loved the true feeling of privacy and getaway from our daily reality. Thank you for sharing this place. It truly saddened us to leave when we did but we look forward to a revisit sooner than later. Super Thank you to Chris. Your communication of information was on point and exact. This place is BEAUTIFUL and was just what my family needed. My Husband would say Happy wife Happy life and the thought of this experience immediately makes me smile.

Felt like a second home!
There’s was just about anything you could need while you were here and extremely comfortable. Still connected to the conversation no matter whether you are upstairs or downstairs with the open loft but still had plenty of privacy with two bathrooms and the bedrooms separated by the floors. Pet friendly, our dog loved the space and all of the room he had to run around with a tie out provided outside as well! The host was so incredibly hospitable and very fast in answering any questions or concerns we had. Will definitely recommend this space and returning in the future!!

Our small family gathered for the inaugural Catbird Music Festival and the cabin’s location was ideal! But it’s comfort level made our stay relaxed, with indoor and outdoor lounge areas. Highly recommend this spot, checkin & checkout were super easy!

Great getaway!
Charming and private house with lots of special touches and fun details. Plenty of space for a group of friends for the weekend. We loved the firepit, the music collection and the comfy sleeping spots! The owner was helpful and very communicative.
