"It was an average place. Nothing fancy. It is basically what you would think of as a cottage on a lake. Mismatched broken furniture. Dirty mattress on upstairs bunk bed. Didn’t see any bugs but I’m thinking I may have gotten head lice from the pillows. The skillets and stuff had to be scrubbed before we could use them. "The listing was very accurate based on pictures and had a very true lake house feel. Only complaint is about the next-door neighbor's dog. The red brick house had a dog that came over to our rental property and barked aggressively and blocked my grandkids and daughter in law from walking up the path to the house from boat ramp. The owner eventually came out and got the dog. We only had the one-time problem."

"My wife and I were in town for family business. We have many family members in the region, and we wanted to stay far off the grid. I’m glad we did. No phone, no cable, no nothing. Absolutely fantastic! We plan to bring our children on the next trip in about 8 months. This place is #1 on the list for my wife and I.
