A villa in Brac Croatia = the best beach house in California USA. We are an active, adventurous, couple of 50 year olds with luxurious tendencies who also enjoy rustic surroundings and the great outdoors. We chose the villa to spend a restive week off from our Croatian driving tour and to celebrate birthdays. Much to our delight, the property was almost exactly as advertised. Charming decor and amenities. Pre-Check with owner re: items on available list & cost to use (kayak). Outdoor shower was awesome; never used indoor shower but bee phobes beware. Cooking outside on terrace for most all meals was like camping at the Ritz with amazing views and comfort. Best to brush up on wood grilling skills if you are used to gas grills. Paradise cove was ALL THAT and almost private as boaters pulled in to share the shore. Nonetheless, we were not dissuaded from naturism. Very happy to have packed our Tevas for the rocky path down to take a swim and beachcombing. While there is a window view of ocean from front bedroom, you can't see out of it while lying down in bed. This was a slight disappointment to us lazy bums that envisioned gazing out to sea with coffee in bed but no great loss as it just inspired us to get up. The terrace is an excellent vista for watching the world go by, reading or drinking wine until you nod off in the lounge chair (again). If you rely on vehicle GPS, it might take you the back way into the property. We enjoyed the winding dirt back road adventure that lead easily to front drive. If you enjoy hiking and natural museums, make sure to make an appointment with Zoran for a guided hike up to the Dragon Cave (phone number is on road sign in Murvica) just down the road. We stayed the last week of June 2017 and we're happy to have a portable fan for a couple of warmer nights. Bottom line, we hated to leave and hope the fates lead us back. Thank you Iva & family for sharing your slice of Paradise.
