"Nice hotel. Lovely staff. Loved that there was free parking. Breakfast was nice. Room was small but comfortable. My main gripe was that the noise levels from the road outside was extremely loud until the small hours of the night, then again from 6am onwards. Also, it was just as well I wasn’t intending to sleep past 8am because the sound of people moving industrial wheelie bins was quite deafening. Rooms need to come with a supply of earplugs for optional use. "

"Overall a good stay at Hockey House, friendly staff, excellent food and a good night's rest. My only concern is that a superior double is nothing more than a standard double just a slightly larger room. No chairs or stool to sit on just a bed, a table with drinks making facilities and a standard bathroom. I would stay again but would ask to see the room first before accepting it as my stay."

"It used to be the perfect place to stay in the region, but I see it starts to lose its service level. Waiting for osomeone to come to the reception for 20 minutes and it took another 20 mins to check us in...and we are regularly going there for business."

"Stay was overall good. Once you were there it was fine. Getting the bearings right was an initial challenge. No idea where reception was and the nearest parking to it. It is not what I am used to. Howbeit once you knew where you were all was good."
