"This spacious and comfortable home accommodated our two families perfectly. After two days of hiking in the Bigelow range we were ready for some relaxation. The spacious kitchen was roomy enough for multiple cooks to work easily. The living space had ample, comfortable furniture.The variety of bedroom configurations served our two families with adult children and their partners perfectly. The generous size dining table allowed us to enjoy meals together and those who longed for more outdoor time...

"All I wanted was to get away and find a little solitude and disconnect from the hustle of life. This place provides a happy medium of alone and the necessity of modern convenience. Most important, it was quiet. Beautifully quiet. I would sit by the fire at dusk and watch the fire while listening to the Coyotes do role call in the distance. Such a relaxing hideaway that I wish I could have stayed there a month. The hosts did not bother my and respected my privacy. Eggs were good as well. "

The amenities were all great, exactly as advertised. I will say it's a little tricky finding it in the dark! I'm looking forward to my next trip to Maine so that I can stay here again! "

"We stayed in this home for 2 nights during our trip to Maine. The place is in close proximity to a few convenience and grocery stores, as well as many restaurants and beautiful hiking trails in a ski village. The kitchen is fully equipped, and we enjoyed the balcony at the back of the place, which has a view of the river. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and this place was a great spot for us to relax after busy days in Sugarloaf. "

"Hosts Jane and Peter are lovely people and keep their home and property very well maintained. We especially enjoyed amazing sunsets at the lake house and time in the screened in porch. "Look no further! This place has everything you need and then some. The location is absolutely perfect. It is off the beaten path and so serene, but still close enough to activities and food places to make it well worth a bit of extra driving. There is a Japanese soaker tub which was very cool and a steamer shower which is like a combination of a sauna and shower. Such a treat!! If you're into stargazing, you're in luck.
