"When I first saw this place on VRBO I was excited, being a former pastor. The host was very nice and flexible with us when our arrival time was delayed. However, we both felt a little uneasy. The walkway back to the entrance is a little odd. I wouldn't have wanted to walk it after dark. It's hard to put a finger on, but I just couldn't completely relax. "The most idyllic cottage stay, exactly what I was looking for. Ideal location for quiet walks with my dogs in every direction from the cottage, didn't need to take the car out once! Liz was absolutely amazing, gave me some suggestions for local walks and communicated the check in process and cottage location. We will definitely be back. "

"What can we say ? An absolute find of a place ! Amazing weekend away with friends and this beautiful house absolutely made it. "Holmlea cottage is the perfect Base to visit the Edinburgh area and the highland region arround perth. The cottage was very clean and we loved the antiques inside. Freuchie is a perfect Base to visit the region, to visit Edinburgh by train also, next rail station is very close.
