Beautiful and serene property. Had fun visiting the chickens daily (we counted 15!), walking through the wildflower garden and adjoining woods, enjoying the peacefulness of the koi pond, and sitting outside at night under the starry sky. We had deer stop by in the evenings and we even got to see a doe nursing two fawn! Michelle is a responsive and gracious host. The local coffee and wildflowers on the table when we arrived were special touches. We also thoroughly enjoyed meeting and chatting with Michelle's father, George. The yurt itself is comfortable and cozy, and we enjoyed the artwork on the walls. Kitchen was well equipped for meal preparation.The location is ideal for driving into Ithaca for waterfall hikes and sightseeing, museums, the Cornell Ornithology Lab, independent bookstores, and a variety of delicious options for meals. But I would also recommend just strolling around Main Street in Newfield to check out the covered bridge, the King Bowstring Arch Bridge, a one room schoolhouse, and a pop into the Covered Bridge Market & Pizzaria. Our entire stay was so relaxing and just felt magical. We really wanted another day or two, but reality called us home. We do hope to make it back for another, longer vacation.
