New Year on Isle of Wight
We had a wonderful time at the Mill house. We were 3 families with teenagers and spent few days at the cottage to celebrate New Year. The house is really well equipped with lots of kitchen pots, pans and utensils. We spent quite a bit of time by the fireplace playing games or just chatting. Josie was great before and during our stay. Overall, a great place which we enjoyed!

Large family holiday in July
Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Mill House. The location is excellent for visiting beaches on the west of the island. Overall facilities in the house were excellent. It was good that there was a separate TV/playroom where the children could be entertained on their own. The dining room was a good size next to the kitchen the bbq was very useful. The kitchen was well equipped but a little small for large families.

Impressive!
Firstly Josie, the host, must be complimented on her helpfulness and excellent level of communication. From answering initial queries from this family’s multiple generations, to discount tickets and info for the ferry crossing, location information and flexibility on arrival and departure times plus answering trivial questions during our stay we felt very well cared for and supported without feeling intruded upon. The house is beautiful. Tucked down a little lane but within a 10 minute walk to the pub and shop it’s incredibly peaceful and spacious set in rolling countryside. We had rooms to spare with 9 (plus dog) in our party and on first sight I drove past it thinking we couldn’t be staying there coz it was to posh. Yet stay we did, enough bathrooms that no one was hammering on the door, fully fitted and kitted kitchen, I’ll let you work out where to put the cutlery in the dishwasher, with an aga and electric oven and all the utensils you could need. A snug, well stocked with board games and tv, was commandeered by the children leaving the spacious lounge in peace. Every window has a view over the countryside and the large garden allowed for outdoor games and space aplenty for an energetic dog. Blackgang chine is 10 minutes, the needles 20 mins, Newport 15. Plenty of local walks and a good bus service means a car isn’t always essential during your stay. All in all a faultless stay at an excellent location in a fabulous house run by an equally excellent host.

Marvellous Mill House!
Wow. An absolutely fabulous property with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s beautifully presented and It really is so well equipped. The only thing I would mention is if you have really small dogs (we have a Border Terrier and a Jack Russell) the garden isn’t sufficiently enclosed that they couldn’t escape, but other than, it is a stunning spot for a really fantastic holiday. The owners are super-helpful and we absolutely wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to anyone else.

Special family stay
Mill House is ideally situated on the West coast to enjoy everything the island has to offer coupled with easy walking access to the local beach. The house had everything we could possibly need for our large 3 generation family gathering and the weather was just perfect for us. Lots of cooking together in the kitchen and bbq time in the garden. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home.

Spectacular!
We loved every single thing about our stay in Mill House. It is stunningly beautiful. The attention to detail is amazing. It was perfect for our group of 11. Room for everyone to spend time together and room to spread out. The fixtures and furnishings were just beautiful. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and would come back in a heartbeat. Fantastic stay
The Mill House is situated in a pretty village not far from the coast. It is a beautiful property, furnished and equipped to a high standard. Josie the host responded to any queries promptly and provided helpful information for our stay. It is perfect for large gatherings and family groups, catering for all ages. We would live to return in the summer when we can also appreciate the large garden. One to remember.

A great house, in a great location on a great island.
Mill House is absolutely excellent. It is exactly what you might expect of a Georgian house; spacious, grand and in a special location. It is also fitted out to the highest standards. We especially liked the (baby?) grand piano in the sitting room and the rural views from every window..
