Stacy and the staff were amazing-nothing too much trouble. Location great for cyclists and walkers we will definitely go back.

We had a very enjoyable stay, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. We both had a nice breakfast as well!

Chaos
We, too, booked this hotel based on exceptional reviews. We arrived to find our room unmade from previous guest. Waited 1/2 hour for another unmade room to be prepared. Chaos is our best adjective. Altho everyone was pleasant and were trying their best, it was chaos. No mattress protector, no soap or shampoo. Breakfast was very good tho we had to wait while she ran out for eggs. Also, i always pay directly to hotels.com but i had to pay this hotel directly, which led to confusion.

Peaceful New Year's Break
Lovely spacious room, comfy bed, very nice host Stacey & staff, nice food/breakfast. Beautiful little village & area, very peaceful & quiet. Plenty of parking. A real community pub with live music & events. Note: there is no housekeeping & minimal towels provided for the week so had to keep asking for items, though this wasn't a big problem. The towel heater in our bathroom never worked so had to use bedroom radiator to dry our towel each day. Unfortunately the toilet in our bathroom was blocked all week & sadly still hadn't been sorted by the time we left, despite numerous attempts. No mattress protector on bed. If you need WiFi it's not very good but that didn't bother us.

Don't believe the good reviews!!
Booked this hotel as it had such a good rating. Rooms are lovely. Service is poor as woefully understaffed. Waiting for ages to get a drink and having a local tell you it will be quicker to go and find the bar maid!! Food was average, steak was over good, chips were out of a bag and not very well good. I also booked as it had a free breakfast and I would have time before the ferry left to have it. Waste of time!! Breakfast served at 8.30 -9.30 on a Sunday. Some guy eventually appeared at 8.45, saying she should have been down by now!! Literally time for a coffee and a slice of toast before leaving.

Arrived as strangers and left as friends- we have never stayed somewhere were we were hugged by the host (Stacey) and the chef (Jason ) felt like we were honoured guests although we had never stayed there before! Will definitely be back asap - will bring the dogs next time!

Pleasant place to stay, room was lovely, however, there were no towels. We had to ask twice for some, and then sadlly no face towel, just one big one each. Breakfast nice except, we ordered toast and didn't get any , only one lady doing breakfasts and one man doing drinks. They seemed very busy so we did'nt like to ask.

Our room was first-class: very clean, tastefully furnished and decorated and with an exceedingly comfortable bed. We had the best night's sleep away ever. Breakfast was less impressive except for the full English which was good. Other peoples' cooked breakfasts looked OK, too, but our bacon sandwich was unappealing. There did not seem to be any cereals or fruit on the menu. All in all - really great room but average and limited breakfast.

Disappointing
Cannot give more than a 3 / 5. The room & bed were fine, but fine is all they were. Bathroom was clinical, poorly lit, and had no tub, although the tub absence was an oversight on our part. The restaurant was understaffed and service was spotty / irregular. Bizarrely, all of the tables were exceptionally sticky - literally as if coated in glue and you could not rest your hands, elbows on the table without them adhering to the surface. When we asked staff to clean the surface, they obliged but told us that the cleaning agents they used were creating the tacky texture. We tried with water and towels - nothing. It was gross and really defeated the atmosphere of dinner and breakfast the following morning.

Great place to stay - we will be back
The beds are super comfortable and very well equipped rooms. The pub has good food too including delicious breakfast! The owner works so so hard to make it a success and it shows. Thank you!

The rooms at the Three Bishops have had a complete overhaul and are so lovely and nicely decorated. Very comfy beds, gorgeous bathrooms. We were really impressed.

We enjoyed our holiday on the Isle of Wight at The Three Bishops! The room was large and clean, and the pub had a wonderful breakfast and lunch/dinner menu. The location couldn't have been better -- convenient to the ferries and all of the island's sights. The staff was excellent, and hope to return soon!

Best steak supper EVER!!!
Arrived late and got lost because of diversions. Called the hotel and they organised a local to collect us! Then we had the best steak supper I’ve had in a while! Then a couple of beers with the locals! Bed was comfy and clean. No regrets at all! Definitely coming back 🙏

Booking had only just been received by the pub although it had been confirmed several hours earlier online. Initial greeting we were advised that although we had confirmed for 3 people to include breakfast that only 2 would be provided as it was not meant to have been included and it was an error on Hotels.com website. No water was provided in the room as stated in the information on website either. The staff on our first evening at dinner were very friendly and helpful however the following morning we walked in to find the toast and coffee sat on a table getting cold and our 2 breakfasts brought very abruptly to our table with a stern unfriendly ‘morning’! That was the total interaction with the landlady- clearly unhappy with us and made to feel very uncomfortable and a nuisance. Sadly we will not be returning.

Nice pub, good beer, friendly welcome.
Very nice pub which apparently is the only one in the village now that the others have closed. Evening food was good, although several items on the menu were not available. Beer was good but white wine was warm for our taste. Room accessed outside and up stairs. Comfortable but snug. For the room we were in if you are tall then watch your heads! Had to pre-order breakfast the night before. Cafetiere coffee excellent. Really good village shop/ post office nearby which was handy for us walkers.

Overnight stay
Great location, easy to find and park, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was great, clean & tidy, compact but with everything needed. Food was good esp the breakfast I didn't think I'd manage it...certainly didn't need anything else that day :) I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great Short Break Location
Very friendly, helpful staff - very good breakfast - evening meals good too. ‘Barnacles’ sea shanty group rehearsal in the bar was fun too. Our first trip to IoW most enjoyable - hope to return before too long.

Great stay
Stacie and Ruth couldn’t do enough for us the pub is great, the garden really pretty, the food was delicious and the room very comfortable and spacious. The rain shower was amazing after cycling around the island.
