"What a great oasis—this was the perfect place for our adult family of five to get away from our busy lives. The outdoor spaces are comfortable and there was plenty of things to do without leaving the property. Excellent restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive meant we only went into the city once. Rick is a perfect host, communicating regularly and responding quickly. We would stay here again!"

"Area is very quiet and view of the lake is amazing! Loved having coffee in the morning on the porch. Beds where comfortable and linens where all clean. Lots of space! Only thing I felt was missing was a personalized listing for local restaurants, or things to do. If back in the area would definitely stay here again!"

"The property was clean and comfortable. It was convenient to gas, grocery stores and pharmacy. Comfortable beds and good kitchen facilities as well as bathroom facilities. Good tv. Two bedrooms downstairs were great. For older people I would be concerned about the upstairs room because of the stairs. Other than that would definitely stay again. "

"A Louisiana native, I booked the property the weekend of my wedding at Palmetto's to a Massachusetts groom. We stayed in the house with his closest friends, and got permission to use the location for an extended family picnic on Sunday. My husband's people had minimal experience in Louisiana, and the grounds did not disappoint. "Its location is great. You have many thing to do in the local area and New Orleans is just down the road. It is very spacious. Below is why I rated 4 star CONS: This place does not have an oven just stove top. Make sure to call your host 5 days in advance and have all moth balls removed. We all got headaches the first day and was removing bags of moth balls. We got most out and were to tolerate the smell our last two days"

"Owner really takes care of this property. In extremely well decorated interior with newer style appliances. Remote control ceiling fans and the air conditioner works really well. The bathrooms were clean and up-to-date with their fixtures and showers. Our niece was getting married the weekend we stayed and it was so convenient for the venue; less than a quarter mile away. This property is a great setting for a large gathering, party or family reunion."

"Although my family was visiting LA to bury my child, my experience in this home was a breath of fresh air. This home was Amazing and EXACTLY as listed. The owner was soooo attentive and accommodating. The house was equipped with all the essentials a family would need. I would definitely recommend this home for family travel. "

"The house was nice, coffee pot was broken so we had to door dash coffee every morning which was costly. And 2 people left things behind and I tried contacting host after we arrived home and he did not get back to us. He was helpful and easy to get in touch with leading up to our trip. And he allowed us to access the house early. Overall good place to stay. Neighborhood was nice. We did a lot of walking around, enjoying the weather and views."

"If you’re looking for a place where you can stay on property the entire time and not see another person the entire stay, OR a place to fill your stay with all the activities you can fit in, this fits the bill. This cabin is our favorite getaway spot and this was our fifth time here. Bill and Karen are the best hosts, and communication with them is so easy. We always come away from our stay relaxed and recharged, and are already ready to come back!"
