Great location
The location was great. We enjoyed the close beach and water and grilling right at our vacation home. We loved downtown Northport for shopping and some meals. And it was so close to everything else for sight seeing, wine tasting, and more.

Lakeside Cottage
Perfect little cottage. 6 of us didn’t need anything more. Clean, beautiful location, and quiet. Loved sitting by the water early in the morning. Glad we brought air mattress, fit well in the screened porch area.

The cottage looks exactly like the photos. It is small but very cute on the inside. We loved the screened in porch and the short walk to the beach that is on the property. It was very clean upon arrival. It probably could use some updates but we loved that there was a grill for the cottage and chairs to be outside.

We were very impressed with the condition and the beauty of the area/the beach/the bay. It made for a peaceful weekend and the dogs enjoyed themselves. The staff was extremely helpful as well. I already have several friends who were jealous of my trip and want to come with me next year.

It's a quick drive to many locations like Northport, Leland and Suttons Bay that offer great shopping and restaurants not to mention beautiful beaches ...we always enjoy our time up north.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property location was good. We did daily trips to different places. We did not use the private beach very often, because of the big and very slippery rocks was hard to walk in the water (we have 3 small children). Fortunately we found beautiful beaches near by. We were not happy with the maintenance of the cottage we stayed in. It was really dirty, dusty. You could see pet hair in every room by the walls. It looked like it wasn't even cleaned. The fans were on when we arrived, but there was like 2 inch of dust hanging from it. I don't really know if I would recommend this place to someone, the property location was nice, but who wants to stay in the dirty place?

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful place for a vacation spot! A porch for your enjoyment to spend the evenings outside. It was everything plus more than the information on the website. All of us enjoyed the location right next to the beach but still close to town to shop. After entering the cabin for 1 hour, found we locked our self our. Emergency personnel were very helpful during this sticky situation. Thank you so much, place was great place to stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It's like having a time share without paying for the investment! We love it and we are grateful that we have access to it. It was a dream find, out of coeincedence. We happened upon it last year after checking out of another vacation spot. It was not a dissapointment at all this year. It is a perfect location to escape the congestion of Traverse City and we love exploring the three surrounding communities of Leland, Suttons Bay and Northport. I love the quiet roads and the challenges they present for my cycling. It has a great beach for our young family. Weather was great! Food was awesome. Kudos to the cleaning staff. And we find it a relief to have the cupboards filled with all the little things you forgot or only need a teaspoon of. We hope we left more than we used for the next visitor. Thank you and we will see you again in the future. We may be interested in coming in the off season to check out another season. How late in the season are you open?

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I and our two dogs, Herr Schmidt and Nadya had a wonderful experience staying at your rental cottage. We found it very welcoming as we did the many towns and beaches we visited. The dogs really got a kick out of their own beach, although they didn't swim, they did get their feet wet and ran in the sand. How fortunate we are to have had such a lovely place to spend 10 days relaxing. We hope to return next year and have told all of our dog friends.

If I had known the area better I would have chosen a cottage in the Glen Arbor area. To me, that was more of a central area.
