My Mother turned 80 this past weekend, and we celebrated as a family at the Teel House. When I was looking for a place for our family to come together I needed a central location for our family who is spread out over three states. We had 10 people ages ranging from young teen to mostly adults, and we wanted to cook family meals and have some fun activities. The Teel house provides ample space for spreading out, the kitchen is well appointed for cooking meals. As a family of history lovers, we loved all the period furniture and Victorian decor. It's almost like renting a B&B, and having it to yourself. We loved exploring all the nooks and crannies of the house, and enjoyed walking the neighborhood. Communication was excellent with the booking, check-in and check out. I dealt with two representatives of the property, one for booking and one for the stay, both were great! Gregg the property manager was really nice to work with and even let our niece purchase a small item for her bedroom from the house. Thanks so much! The only thing I would mention to potential renters is to remember that this house was built in the late 1700's and has it's own quirks and age (like the rest of us). The bedrooms, while beautifully decorated could use a couple new mattresses, and hopefully in the future this investment could be an asset to the rental. We were only there two nights so it was fine. Overall it was the perfect house for a celebration and only enhanced our time together.
