The view from the many windows is amazing, and the house is conveniently located to all that you’re going to want to do in Whidbey. It’s large, and comfortably held 10 people from 3 families. It was clean. Vacasa did their job and we had no complaints on that score. Foosball was a big hit.
But it’s not a luxury experience, or one otherwise commensurate with the money charged in the summer. It felt like Grandma’s house, largely abandoned by the heirs, and it wasn’t that nice to begin with. Weird chandeliers, thin walls, dated furniture, mishmash kitchen, no art on the walls, bathrooms that have seen better days. Mostly didn’t matter, except for the thin cheap towels and the mattress downstairs that creaks so loudly we gave over that (large, King, en suite) bedroom to one kid who wouldn’t wake anyone else up. So overall…fine, but not s 5-star experience.
