Excellent place for our visit to Montclair
Compact but very comfortable space for a short stay in the area. Quiet and pleasant neighbourhood and a nice walk into Montclair if required. Great communication from the owner.

Cozy & convenient retreat in the Hills
My wife and I really enjoyed this cozy retreat in the Oakland Hills! It has a spiritual vibe and includes many examples of artistic stonework done by the host. We liked the location about halfway up the hills, so it feels hidden in a forested glade - we heard owls more than once - and is protected from the wind that is often experienced at the top of the hills. It's very quiet at all times, yet it's walking distance from Montclair Village and a short drive from Berkeley. There are many interesting & relaxing walks nearby as well as restaurants, coffee shops etc. Highly recommended!

Stayed before, needs a refresh for bedroom. Still no tray table to unfold and be able to eat on Not as clean as I expect when there’s a cleaning fee (dusty window sills) . Very responsive owner, but trash disposal was inconvenient and confusing

Wonderful spot!
The place is exactly as pictured, and even more charming and comfortable in person. The location is perfect, close to everything but serene and peaceful as well. It's less than a 10 min Uber ride from Berkeley (we were visiting our college kid), and we had no problems getting rides. The communication from the host was above and beyond, which we appreciated. Overall I'd give 10 stars if possible, and we definitely look forward to coming back to hopefully check out more of the surrounding area, including the parks and hiking trails.

All you could ask for
Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Close to Montclair Village with shops, restaurants and grocery stores. This was our second stay and we will be back whenever we are in town.

Lovely retreat
Such a thoughtfully appointed spot. It’s quiet, peaceful, amongst the trees. I enjoyed going out for social outings, and then resting and enjoying the calm vibes of the rental. The location is a bit off the beaten path, so plan to either drive and find parking on the winding hillside road, take longish walks to Montclair Village, or budget for Lyft rides. My only complaint is that I wish some of the windows had screens so that I could get fresh air without the bugs (you really are in the trees). Otherwise, just lovely. It’s a beautiful space and even has its own private patio. I loved that I could boil water for tea or coffee, and that even in a small space, there were so many amenities. I bet it’s really cozy with the fireplace in cooler months. Would recommend and would stay there again!

Truly a Sanctuary
My partner and I stayed here during our recent trip to San Fran. This tiny home was clean, adorable and had everything we needed for a home base. The hosts Tim and Stefanie live just next door and we happy to provide anything we needed. The property is as advertised and we even found some cute nuances that elevated the experience. I would recommend this space for couples or solo travelers, as it is quite small. Also note - the neighborhood is quite hilly, with some steep inclined roads. Be sure you have a car that can climb.

This is a lovely place. The decor is both calming and serene, but also whimsical and creative. We had a delightful stay and enjoyed the areas nearby. We both used to live in Oakland. We had a perfect launching pad for visits to our old haunts. Thank you so much to the hosts!
