Wow, I don't know where to start! This house is beautiful. It very comfortably slept 14 women (the only beds shared were 3 king beds, otherwise everyone got their own) and we had plenty of space to spread out. Holly and Barry take such wonderful care of their home and you truly feel it when you stay here. When we arrived, Holly had set the dining room with 14 place settings and there were fresh flowers all throughout the house. We were celebrating that weekend, and Holly even left us a bottle of champagne! Barry gave us a lovely tour of the whole place, explaining the history of the home and the cool architecture. They also left us fresh eggs from their chickens, multiple fresh milk variations, and coffee in multiple rooms of the house. The kitchen is also well stocked with spices, oil, etc., which was perfect as we had a professional chef come in and cook us a meal and she was able to use all the serving dishes, utensils, etc. in the house.
The location of the property is great. We went for a really pretty 10-mile run straight from the house and all through the neighborhood. Devil's Hopyard is a 20 minute drive with great hiking and trail running. Old Saybrook, Chester, and Mystic were all very easy drives from the house and I highly recommend them (VERY cute towns).
We all took videos of the place to show our moms - that's how great it was. :) We hope to return! Thank you, Holly and Barry!
