"A fabulous hotel in the small city of Ooty. Service was excellent. One example - the tennis final was on a channel that was not subscribed to on the hotel system, they subscribed! Facilities are modern, even having USB charging points built in, in the rooms. The hotel offered several daily activities including free tea tasting every afternoon and evenings around a garden fire, (we missed out on the fire as the weather was awful during our visit ). "

"Fuimos un grupo de 9 adultos, una niña y un bebe. Después se nos sumó una pareja con su beba. Tiene un estilo colonial y los cuartos lo mantienen bastante bien, todo el entorno aún te proyecta a aquellos tiempos de la colonia y la explotación del té; pero las habitaciones están acondicionadas a los usos de hoy en día; en todos los cuartos que se nos asignaron hay hogar a leña, y de todos los mejores son los del frente (de frente a la recepción hacia la izquierda). "I had a one night stay at this hotel, good location at the top of the hill, comfortable stay.Restaurant staff was excellent specially Girl named Harman .She was so helpful and courteous and friendly.We asked her some food which was not on the buffet menu, but she done her best to please us"

"There was no heat even though the temperature was below 50 degree Fahrenheit. The shower did not work and the food for breakfast had run out. Our rooms had absolutely no windows or sunlight. Badly needs renovation. Most importantly it’s being run with skimpy staff and so no one answered the telephones or took care of you. Sad because bones of property are great. "

"Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in einer wunderbaren, leicht abgeschiedenen Atmosphäre. Es waren leider noch einige Bauarbeiten auf dem Gelände, die meist jedoch nicht störten. Man kann (gegen Aufpreis) ein Lagerfeuer bekommen und draußen Musik hören. Muß man mal abwarten, wohin sich das noch entwickelt. Zuviel wäre sicherlich der Atmosphäre abträglich. Werde ziemlich sicher wiederkommen und würde mich freuen, wenn es dann bessere Leseleuchten am Bett gibt."

"When I checked in the room had prior guest’s trash and the bed and bathroom smelled terrible. The couch had blood stains. Gave my laundry to be cleaned and it came back stinking like urine. The food was also bad."

"We couldn't recommend Jungle Hut more! From the moment we were arrived til the moment we left, we were treated so well by all the staff. They went out of their way to accommodate us with everything we needed, and were so helpful and friendly. The place itself is amazing.....such an idyllic setting at the foothills of a beautiful mountain in the middle of a jungle! Relaxing in the pool while looking at the views was so nice! The accommodations are so clean, and well maintained, and eco friendly...

"Great location on hilltop, on the way to the highest point of Ooty (Dodabetta). Quite spacious and they have lot of activities to spend time. The best thing I like the evening tea stall that serves variety of teas to pick from with light snacks. And that was on the house! The availability of choices in liquor were limited. Food quality in buffet breakfast and dinner was OK - can be improved. We liked ala-carte dishes."

"Reception struggled to find our reservation at check in. Room was basic, Very hard double bed. Kettle and a jug of water was supplied at check in, no further water given and room does not get made up. We were in the main building annexe and it obviously had not been used for some time, smelt and felt damp. I know we are in the mountains and should expect lower temperatures. We were told hot water would only be available 7-10 both mornings and evenings but we had to ring reception several times...
