"We had a wonderful time joining family and staying in this cozy home for a few days. Prior to check-in, the owner gave us more specific, helpful directions as to the exact location. Walking distance to the lake, firepit available for use near shore, chairs to use outside, and a porch with outside seating was very handy. We had plans within Syracuse for one day and stayed at the house another. Plenty of games available. We will definitely consider staying here again. Small suggestions to improve...

"The photos of the home were accurate. It was very roomy and nicely furnished. The owner was easy to communicate with. If you’re going in the winter be aware that the house is at the end of long private road which was a bit daunting with the snow. "

"We were a family of 7 traveling with a baby. Maureen and Jim provided us with great accommodations!Their place had everything we needed to relax with family. The kitchen is well equipped to make meals and there is also an extensive binder with great information about restaurants and attractions nearby. The house was immaculate, cozy and comfortable. "House was perfect for our needs -- a long parents weekend visit to Colgate. Not exactly Colgate adjacent, but convenient to the airport, Syracuse and right on Lake Oneida and 30 min to Colgate. Just down the road from Verona Beach State Park and it's possible to keep walking to Sylvan Beach -- and with perfect fall weather it was an amazing walk. House was great to cook in and made for a fine remote work location. I only wish we'd made better use of the she shed /man cave b/c it is an awesome...

"The apartment was the perfect space for a longer vacation. Plenty of room for three of us without feeling crowded and able to be spread out. I do wish there was more communication regarding the parking spot (but that was a lack of time on my part) and the check out procedures. Overall a very good stay."

"This was our 40th year vacationing at Sylvan Beach. Our first year was at the Oneida and several years since. We have witness many remodels of the property over the year. We enjoy the location and the access to the beach. Beds are comfortable and kitchen is well stocked. Unfortunately, there is a major issue with the upstairs shower leaking into the downstairs bathroom, making the floor dangerous and flooding the light fixture and making it short out. I would recommend that more towel fixtures...

"The staff was wonderful and helpful. We stayed in the King sized room. It was beautiful, clean, and quiet. There was a couch and a coffee table so we were able to play Scrabble on a regular table which I thought was cool. They have a shuttle to take people to and from Turning Stone 24/7. The driver was personable and quick to arrive when it was time to return to the hotel. Great price; great service."
