This house has a beautiful interior, but is not quite what I would consider a beach house. Although it has an upstairs and downstairs kitchen, utensils are somewhat minimal (we had to purchase a corkscrew, both coffee makers were small—about enough for 2 people). The downstairs king sized bed was quite comfortable, the upstairs beds not so much. There is now an outside spigot to rinse your feet, but no outside shower. Outdoor dining was limited to the front porch, with a view of the driveway, the upstairs deck only having room for 2 chairs. We did not try the backyard grill. There is a nice short walk to the “pond” at the end of the street, but it is not a place to swim. The Nauset Beach is only a short drive (about 2 miles) very convenient, and an easy walk from the parking lot, which may fill up sometimes, but not while we were there. Convenient farm store next door, but check the hours, closed on certain days. (They sell a lot of wine but not corkscrews!). Lovely cafe across the street, and nice restaurant just down the road (make reservations!). Good for multigenerational family, with the young folks upstairs.
