Wow, what a spot! We absolutely adored our two nights hear, close enough to key Kapiti Coast locations to have everything we need but far enough away to enjoy the most idyllic escape from city life. We loved the outdoor space, the full kitchen with everything we needed, and the incredible surrounding property - we hope to visit again! Thanks so much Barry and Deb (and thank you for the delicious limes!)

Lovely quiet spot for a long weekend. Nice deck to sit on and pleasant outlook. We enjoyed riding our bikes to Otaki beach and back.

A beautiful cottage in a private and peaceful nature/rural environment, yet only a few kms north of Otaki. Good outdoor deck seating. Note there is no WiFi at the cottage.

This is our second time here and we have already booked again. A lovely relaxed setting, rural and beautiful. Only a 4 star for check in process as there was a wee delay in getting into the accommodation. But honestly, Barry aNd Helen are awesome hosts.

Gorgeous rural setting, right next to a stunning wetland. Cosy, comfortable cottage with absolutely everything I needed for a self-sufficient getaway. It was very handy to the shops too, so I got the best of all worlds. Very keen to stay in this bookabach again.

Peaceful outlook and well appointed wee cabin. Perfect for a weekend getaway away from Wellington and closer to nature. Secluded but close to Otaki if you need to pop out. Easy check in and hosts were nearby but allowed me privacy which was perfect. Highly recommend.

Lovely secluded location adjacent to a wetlands reserve, visited by many local birds and we sat on the extensive deck. Very relaxing.

We loved it here. It had the quiet (other than the birdlife), the solitude and the proximity to a range of activities we were seeking. Very comfortably set up. The nearby helpful/friendly host also provided a great background to the development of the wetland area. But....we never saw the namesake of the cottage...not one Pukeko!

Pukeko Cottage was simply lovely. I stayed three nights, and loved how handy it was to Otaki but still so incredibly private and quiet. The friendly cows in the neighbouring paddock were an added bonus. Barry was a gem, the help with the washing machine was greatly appreciated, and hearing about the bittern and ancient bushland was really interesting! I was really taken by the swallow's nest, seeing them swooping around it was so precious! I thoroughly enjoyed my time out at Pukeko Cottage. I'll be back!
