Family weekend
Great place with all the necessities. Quiet and relaxing place. Great communication with Robert. Easy access. The Grand Bear Resort has a nice little mini golf, corn hole and outdoor bar area which was nice to hang out with friends and family. Starved Rock Park was a quick drive. Utica was a cute little town with many good food options. Would recommend staying here - and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Spacious Property
Would stay here again. Reasonably priced, with plenty of room to spread out for a two bedroom condo. Easy access to Starved Rock State Park and the Illinois River for boating.

Had a great time
The villa was very nice. It fit our large family of 7 perfectly. The rooms were large, the jet tub was nice. The kitchen was fully stocked. It was nice having the washer and dryer and vacuum/broom handy as well. It just really felt like home away from home. The only down fall is putt putt is expensive ($53 for 6 ppl), but it was a fun course and you have to pay for the water park. We ended up driving into Sheridan to the Purates Cay Waterpark cause ut was almost half the cost. Kids liked the playground Grand Bear. Drinks at the patio bar were expensive. There is an awesome bar right down the road called Ano Del Gallo. Food was awesome and so were the drinks and Staff. Right up the road was also the little downtown of Utica. Great little strip of stores. Starved Rock and Mathessen park are a short hop down the road as well. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Short father's day weekend getaway
My husband, son, father in law and I loved saying here! It was in the perfect location. Close distance to great restaurants in town (we absolutely loved Bruce and Ollie's & Skoogs) and all the nearby parks to hike (St. Louis canyon, matthiesen, buffalo rock and starved rock). The cabin was very spacious and enough room for everyone. My only critique is that the listing states there are 2 parking spots right next to the cabin however, the two parking spots were taken when we arrived. It wasn't really a big deal because we still parked close. I would just suggest maybe marking the parking spaces so they are designated for each cabin. Other than that everything was perfect! We can't wait to come back!

Very Nice Stay
Stayed at the villa with my children and it was such a nice visit. Property was clean and the check in process was seamless. Great directions helped get us right to the unit. Units are super close to a lot of great hiking in the area. Unit's location was also nice and private, backing up to basically nothing.

A wonderful and clean townhome to stay in. The beds were really comfortable!!! If you are spending the evenings with more than 5 people, pack some bag/folding chairs or bean bags chairs, as the kitchen chairs are not comfortable for long

Wonderful place to stay!
We absolutely loved this property. It’s clean and nicely decorated. It’s convenient and close to the parks. There is a lot of space to visit; we had 5 people and it was great to be able to enjoy the together time. The kitchen is well stocked. The owners are responsive. The only two downsides were a broken ceiling fan in the master bedroom and a coffee pot with hard water clogging the lines. The owner tried to ship a new coffee pot to us but it didn’t arrive in time. That’s okay, though, we made it work!! We definitely will stay again.

Convenient and Spacious!
The unit is an end-unit so you have more windows (and more light) than you would have in an interior unit. The host sent instructions via text and email and was friendly. The location is close to the main entrance of Starved Rock State Park and within walking distance of the trailhead to St Louis Canyon. We enjoyed our stay and have already booked our return!
