The Alpine Chalet's are a nice little spot on the Oregon Coast. I had seen them advertised before, but never had a chance to rent. My husband and I rented a unit with our daughter and her husband in order for my son-in-law to run the Newport Marathon. They have a 4-lb. Pomeranian who came with us.
The spot itself was very nice. Quiet, away from hustle and bustle and although in a location with about 8-10 other units, quite quiet. It was early in the season, though, so I don't know if it gets more busy during the later season. We had Unit #3, a queen bedroom and full bath downstairs and a full loft upstairs (two twin beds, a half-bath, and sitting room). We really enjoyed our time. The dishwasher was broken, which was a bit of a bummer, since it meant spending some time washing and drying dishes. The local manager we called asked if we'd like to have someone come fix it, but given that we were only there for two nights, we didn't want to waste our time waiting for someone to come visit and then take more time fixing the appliance. We just reported the problem and then washed and dried our own dishes during our visit. The Vacasa organization, which runs the place, is very hard to contact. You never get a real person on the first call. You have to leave a message and they eventually call back, but it takes a while. The time delay isn't an issue when you're calling in advance of your trip, but if you're on your trip, it can be difficult.
All in all, we would definitely consider renting again as the location was very pleasant and the general cleanliness and care was good. We love the coast and the Alpine Chalet's are a comfortable coast location!
