"This was a comfortable home, and a nice location. We were staying mostly for business, so didn’t do much in town, but the main restaurant and shopping areas are two short blocks away. We did use the nearby nature trail to walk our dogs. The only concerns others might have with the house, and the reason for four stars instead of five, were: minimal kitchen equipment (few pots/pans etc.), steep narrow stairs to the second floor, and low water pressure in the shower. "This was a quick getaway for my husband, me, and our 2-year-old grandson. The location of this property is perfect! We could walk over to the waterfront and watch the geese or walk into town for shopping and food. We lost power (a fluke) during our stay, and the owner was extremely responsive and easy to contact. We walked to dinner, and it was back on when we returned. Highly recommend!"

"The Ranch at Royal Oak was a fantastic property. The property was exactly as advertised - gorgeous waterfront estate with a large lawn. Incredibly peaceful. We were looking for a getaway to hit pause and just relax and the ranch Royal Oak was exactly what we needed. "The perfect Thanksgiving. House was just right for family of three although more people would have been fine too. Lived the crab shack and played lots of pool and ping pong. Kitchen well stocked. Owners were prompt in responding to any questions. We would come back in a heartbeat."

"The original home is unique and gorgeous and the additions, the sunroom facing sunrises and the lodge style master chef kitchen gave us plenty of room to spread out. The large lawn and driveway gave us plenty of areas to walk the dogs and the beach was a daily swim spot for the dogs. The pool was one of the nicest we have had yet. "We had a wonderful stay here. The house has a really functional kitchen so we were able to cook a lot of meals here. The pool was perfect for young swimmers (decent sized shallow end) and we loved hanging out on the dock, crabbing and kayaking. With plenty of adult bikes, we took a trip each morning to the playground too. We hope to be back!"
