"A great place to stay. We were welcomed from arrival and our hosts were friendly and helpful. A small supermarket was only a 2 minute walk. We hired a 2 person scooter to get around and enjoy the island and this is a great way to explore. Snorkelling is a few kms away but fantastic. We would certainly recommend Tropical Sands and hope to go back some day "

"We had an excellent week long stay. The place had great views of Lake Wakatipu and is walking distance to town (albeit a bit uphill coming back). A few dings here and there but very clean, comfortable and not noisy, kitchen was more than adequate to cook daily meals for a family of 6. Beds were adequate and comfortable. Washer and dryer is great, detergent provided for. No appliance were noted to be out of order. Ample private parking for 2 cars. The best part was the hospitality, Element...

"It was lovely, clean, beautiful view of the water, very safe, free parking, a wonderful place to wine down and relax, great coffee and comfortable beds, and lots of fresh air, I would recommend coming here and unwinding from city life. They even have everything you need to go to the beach or surfing, we where greet and welcomed by the owner with smile and open arms, that made us feel right at home, thank you, I will be coming and recommend this place to all our friends and family. "

"Check- in and check-out was super simple.The kitchen had everything we needed. The access to everything was great. The host was very responsive and easy to work with. We loved our stay! "
