Hidden Gem in the Woods
Driving down the private road and turning on to the property we were greeted by a picturesque landscape and the view of the pond. We knew we had found the perfect place to retreat in the woods. Our mornings began with coffee on the porch on the rocking chairs taking in the serene view. The house is spacious and tastefully decorated and the beds very comfortable. All amenities were provided and cooking in the kitchen was a treat with spices and several coffee options to enjoy. From an expresso to French press we were happy. With all the beauty of Nature I enjoyed sketching as well as painting the scenery. We explored the area and enjoyed the town of Saugerties and Catskill as well. Thanks to our host Eric who quickly responded to a few questions we had. A lovely retreat that we will come back and visit again.

Beautiful Retreat
The Cabin on the Pond is a lovely house in a secluded location, which is close to many small towns and other interesting sites. It is spacious and has a beautiful view. When we experienced a minor problem, Eric resolved it promptly. I would recommend this property highly!

Quiet evenings; close hikes
Great house offering quiet in the evening; lots of birds at dawn and dusk; great access to key hiking trails nearby including Kaaterskill Falls, Escarpment Trail and BlackDome etc. House is fully stocked with appliances, tv, etc; adequate access to wi-fi and phone reception (at&t).

Nice accommodations!
The cabin was well appointed and extremely comfortable. Kitchen was stocked better than any other VRBO I've stayed in! Beautiful surrounding grounds and Spring was just starting. Would definitely recommend it!!

Beautiful property location
This property was exactly as represented on internet. Beautiful house with every amenities you could possibly want. Owner is very gracious with all he provides and is quickly responsive to any questions. The location of this property is a taste of heaven. Secluded and quiet. Endless hiking trails all around. Beautiful Setting
If you want to know what it might be like to wake up and understand the inspiration for Thomas Cole's paintings, spend a night at the cabin on the pond. You'll see the morning and evening light hitting the trees around the water in that unmistakable way. The night we drove in, a fox crossed our path, and every morning ducks swam in the pond while deer fed nearby. The house itself is beautifully decorated with a well-stocked kitchen and plenty of extras, like a turntable and a small but fun collection of LPs. WiFi worked perfectly.

The Perfect Getaway
Cabin on the Pond was a lovely place to stay with neighboring geese and guinea hens keeping us company. The house was well supplied and thought out and the host, Eric, was very responsive to any queries. We would certainly come back for another visit.

Cabin feel with all amenities
Although the weather was unseasonable warm for good skiing, the cabin experience was wonderful. The pond setting was beautiful and my dogs enjoyed chasing the chipmunks. The cabin was well furnished. The beds were all outstanding. The Wi-Fi amazing for that area. The area is charming with lots of hiking trails.
