We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aloha. As the occupiers are required to clean after their stay I would like to give thanks to those before us for the great job they did and hope that those after us are as happy with our efforts. It is a lovely warm, peaceful, private location that is handy to all walks and adventure, village and town facilities.

Beautiful Location, But Disappointing Experience and Poor Maintenance
The property is located in a beautiful setting with stunning views of the estuary and a short walk from Parapara’s beach. Unfortunately things go downhill once you step inside. First of all, we looked for a third bedroom with a luxury queen bed as described but instead, found a sad Murphy bed in the living room. Not quite what we were after. The photos are misleading showing the same room with different bedding, giving the illusion of more bedrooms. Our mistake perhaps…The walls are plastered with passive-aggressive notes. Every surface has a reminder of what not to do. Instructions on how to handle the toilet paper (yes, that’s a thing), warnings about cleaning the barbecue or removing duvet covers, it felt a bit like a sticky note dictatorship. Re cleanliness, maybe we’re just picky, but we found a few places that hadn’t seen a vacuum cleaner in a long long time and the benchseat stained fabric gave a little health and safety risk feel to meals. If the property were priced accordingly (i.e., cheap), I’d let it slide, but at the rates they’re charging (at least in high season), I expected a little bit more. We accidentally left behind a pair of shoes after leaving the property cleaner than we found it (which wasn’t hard). We emailed the owners to see if they could help, but three weeks later, we're still waiting for a response. Guess our shoes have become part of the Hawaiian vibe decor. Unless you have 3 dogs and no other choice, you might want to keep looking…

Perfect location
Lovely homey Bach- very modern which was great and loved the deck and sliders. The photos were a bit misleading as I was looking for the second bedroom with the other queen bed before I realised it was a wall bed in the lounge. Also realised belatedly no wifi which is admittedly stated but I’d misread. Would return for future holidays

Aloha cottage
We had a lovely, comfortable stay in this property. The outlook out the french doors over native planting was great as we saw a lot of native birds along with other birds from our seats in the lounge. The location, for us, was great as we had planned a lot of tripping around the area, which worked well.

Beautiful Golden Bay
Very comfortable with beautiful views of native forest and just over the road from the beach. Great to be able to bring our dog. Very close to Collingwood and the Mussel Inn. Milnthorpe is our favourite place.

Great spot in Beautiful Golden Bay area.
We loved the place. Treated it like our own home. Hardly scratched the surface of its potential but was a great base for day trips around the Golden Bay area. And the stars from the back deck were breath taking.

Quiet seaside weekender
Very comfortable property with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Plenty of deck space to enjoy the private Parapara estuary views. Also well equipped if you take a dog with a kennel and run and gated entrance. All a short walk to the dog friendly beach. Thank you

This place is a gem - quiet, private, tucked into an off-street location with an outlook onto native bush and birdlife, yet within a short distance of a gorgeous beach and interesting tidal inlet. The house is modern and well-equipped. The master bedroom is spacious, looking to the estuary and native bush, with a second bedroom set up with four bunk beds. There is a fold-down double bed which can be set up in the living room on request. Sliding glass doors to a wide deck make the most of the outlook to native vegetation with estuary glimpses. We will be recommending it to friends.

Great place
Lovely property and location, good communication, would love to stay there again in summer :) Had a checkout list of what to do which was straightforward. Would maybe love to have some restaurant recommendations and a map in the compendium for next time. Will stay again as the location is absolutely amazing, estuary outlook on one side, beach a two minute walk away.
