The house in Summit Park was well decorated without clutter. There was a nice view from the living room. I would not call this a four bedroom. There are three bedrooms and a loft with a queen bed, but no walls, door, or closet.
Although Park City is normally only about a 25 minute drive, the traffic in and out can add a fair amount of time and stress to the commute. Next time we will stay closer to the ski resorts. I didn’t realize when booking that although the address is Park City, the area is Summit Park.
There were a few things I really didn’t enjoy about the house and wish someone has mentioned them in a review. There is no master closet or master bathroom door. They provide a free standing clothing rack in the bedroom, but I really prefer to store my clothes in a closet not out in the open- just my personal preference. Because there was no bathroom
door we had to announce to our kids each time one of us took a shower. Additionally, the washer and dryer are in the garage. I didn’t like having to put my boots & coat on to switch up the laundry.
The master bed was like a seesaw. The mattress was very comfortable, but when one person gets up the other end of the bed dips down.
One of the most disappointing parts for me was something that is out of the owners’ control and completely my fault for not asking. Because the house is built into the side of the mountain there is zero outdoor space. We live in Florida and typically try to choose a house with yard space so our two kids can play in the snow. The pictures and location on Google maps led me to believe there was space around the house to build a snowman, etc. I didn’t ask the owner ahead of time, so this is on me. I’m certain they would have explained the lack of outdoor space had I asked.
