"We had a lovely stay here. So Christmassy but even other times of year so cosy felt homely. Reception was very welcoming room was decorated lovely and really felt like a retreat away from it all. Fires and Christmas trees . We ate in the restaurant and all the food was hot and delicious. Location was very central for village visits and walks it was tough to choose whether to go out for walks or just stay in the hotel and relax. We are already planning our next trip back"

"Fabulous stay - loved it! Breakfast hamper was absolutely wonderful, though we couldn’t eat it all. Plenty of parking. Key code entry gives more flexibility as to arrival times, which suited us as we were spending the day and having dinner with friends so didn’t arrive till late. Brilliant one night break, will return without a doubt, and have already recommended to friends."

"Had a great stay in the dandelion suite for my partners 30th. The decor had a rustic/luxurious feel and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, you can really taste the quality of the meat. The hosts were very welcoming and informative and they couldn’t do enough to make your stay a memorable one. Would definitely recommend to any couples that just need to get away for a few nights and unwind. I would give 6 starts if I could! All the best. Mike and Zoe"

"We booked again because our last stay was so lovely, but this time the service was no way as good, especially service in the bar area @ the tables, 3/4 different staff taking order/serving/billing, forgetting items, the hot breakfast wasnt hot, we could hear everyone above us in the room, plus we could hear the kitchen staff & everyone who came into reception. We went away to recharge but it was stressful. "

"We are repeat customers. This is probably our 7th or 8th visit. Love the area...great for walks. Love how remote The High Corner Inn is. There seems to be a high staff turnover the past few years however bar and restaurant staff were excellent on this visit and couldn't have been more welcoming. Only two complaints...it has become quite expensive and the food quality is not as good. We all felt that the value for money in terms of food and drinks was not as good as in the past.
