Nice quiet area, needed to clean a bit upon arrival and a little tough with the bedroom stairs but overall good stay. Easy contact with quick response with the host.

Pros: quiet, peaceful lake, private, great fishing. Cons: could use a good cleaning, camps needs some maintenance and upkeep, ladder to the loft is very steep and poor railings. Greatest con: lake doesn’t have a public boat launch which my son in law found out about by happenstance before our arrival..thankfully. We were not informed about that by the owner even though in my first inquiry about renting his place I told him we had a 16 ft motorboat we wanted to bring. Luckily another very nice camp owner let us use their private launch or this would have been a huge deal! Beautiful lake but we won’t be back.

Ok for small group
This place has potential and is probably fine for just a few people who do not mind "roughing it". We arrived to find several listed appliances/amenities out of order or unusable, and the place did not seem ready for renters. It is a good location for exploring Baxter State Park via the north entrance and other local trails, and the pond was lovely.

Convenient location close to shin pond village. Small building probably best suited for small parties. Worked out well for me and my hunting dog, I'd stay there again.

Lovely location on Upper Shin Pond. Beautiful place to kayak. We enjoyed the fire pit and especially the enclosed front porch. Host was very responsive to a leaky kitchen sink issue. Property could use a thorough cleaning inside and out. Otherwise would have given 5 stars

We enjoyed our stay. Swimming,boating,kayaking! The swim float was a plus. The fishing was great as well. We were a large group and made out just fine! Andrew was extremely quick on answering any questions. Thanks for a great stay!

Weekend stay
We stayed for the weekend, it was a great getaway! The cabin was clean & everything was provided as promised! The only issue was finding in the paddles/life jackets for the kayak’s because the shed was falling down, not a big deal though! Perfect get away with great views.

Very remote and quiet
Great place to stay! We were visiting the area for the 2022 Maine Moose Hunt. Beautiful part of Maine. The camp was exactly as advertised and delivered all of our needs. Best part about the camp, no cell service! And we found a bull moose!

Property was at a great location. Understand that it’s a cabin, but could have definitely been a bit cleaner. We had a fantastic trip to Maine, but didn’t look forward to coming back to the cabin which is unfortunate because it’s a great space and location… just needs a deep clean and some comfortable seating.

Good stay on beautiful lot
Even though itv was smaller than we usually get, We had a great stay and enjoyed this little cabin on a beautiful lot. There was enough beds including a cot for us all. There wasn't a good place for young kids to swim but they enjoyed the paddle boats and canoe. Sitting and fishing on the dock was enjoyed by all. The fire pit spot was perfect and the lot was perfect for our dogs. There wasn't any cell service but once we got the right wifi password, we were able to use wifi and wifi calling. Thank you Andy for accommodating our family, even with the last minute add ons.

Peaceful, beautiful area
Nice place. There were plenty of kitchen nessessities, towels and bedding. There were boats and games, outdoor space, seating, a place for a fire. Not really good for swimming, but we didn’t care. No cell service unless you drive towards Patten, but that’s not something to base a review on, just to be aware of. The shower was a great surprise, very hot and plenty of water pressure, which isn’t always the case even in nice hotels. The washer and dryer worked great also. The upstairs was nice, lots of beds, my only suggestion would be a hand rail at the top of the ladder, a simple fix that would make it much easier to get up and downstairs . And the sofa needs to go to the dump. It’s way past cleaning. Otherwise, a great camp with a lovely porch and plenty of privacy.

Beautiful views.
Camp is a great little get away. Path to dock a little challenging but expected in this area of Maine. Campfire area is large and had plenty of wood and chairs. Covered porch came in handy on rainy days. Would recommend to others.
