Beautiful Home, But Serious Maintenance & Communication Issues
Gorgeous house & pool, but during our stay a lot was broken: both refrigerators, all ice makers, multiple stove burners, the griddle, oven, range hood, espresso machine, and main outdoor grill. I brought all of this to the host’s attention a few hours after arriving through VRBO's messaging but we received no reply. In the morning, we found a direct text number and messaged again. Eventually we received a reply that maintenance would be dispatched. The maintenance guy was very nice but admitted these issues were known by the owner, but he had not been willing to fix them in the past. Nothing was repaired for the remainder of our stay and there was no follow-up by the host. The hvac thermostats were also locked down and never cooled properly. For the price, renters should expect a fully working kitchen, reliable AC, and honest disclosure before arrival of known issues, none of which we received. I've messaged the host after departure and still have not received a reply. I have elevated this to VRBO's customer service to help. If you book this home, I'd advise contacting the host and asking if the appliances are all working (in writing).
