PERFECT GETAWAY
Our family really enjoyed staying here. The house was spacious and there were many amenities. Outside, the property is large with a dock for fishing, a large lawn, small beach. We especially enjoyed the large indoor pool since a tropical storm came through toward the end of our trip. The owners were responsive and wonderful to deal with. We will definitely keep this property on our list for future vacations.

Family oasis.
Our family had a wonderful time, with so many activities at the property we stayed together. The porches, swings, hammocks, pool, beach, pier, comfy couches, movies, music wow! AC worked as it should, a blessing in the heat and humidity. The lack of boat traffic made our stay peaceful. Thanks Kristin and Doug for sharing your home with us.

Great location and neighborhood, but could use some updates and maintenance
Nice place for a family vacation. Good location. On the positive: Outdoor space is very nice. Owners tried to have everything available. The indoor pool is definitely a plus! But it gets extremely HOT & HUMID during the summer months. It was still a great option. Also plenty of towels for the pool area. The screened-in porch was nice. The popcorn maker was a nice option but it burnt the popcorn. The margarita machine was a nice feature. Very refreshing. The owner replied quickly to any texts or phone calls. On the downside: Needs upgrades. The ceiling fans upstairs make annoying noise. Family didn’t use fans. Ice maker did not work in refrigerator downstairs. ( I saw a review from two years ago that it didn’t work then). We just bought a bag of ice. Dishwasher only had one cycle that worked (the 1 hour cycle). The hot water option did not work or the sani rinse option. So I hoped it was being washed with hot water. It was nice to have spices available, but again most were outdated when I looked at the expiration dates. Salt and pepper were available so that worked for us. Plates were glass. Not a good option. Bring your own bar soap if you like bars instead of liquid. Wash clothes were not supplied, just bath and hand towels. Dirt under beds. Trash was not emptied before we arrived in downstairs bathroom. I give it 3 out of 5 stars.

We absolutely loved our stay at Piney Point. It was wonderful for a family of any ages. Plenty to do to keep the littlest entertained and the water is so relaxing. Highly recommend.

Greatest Family Outing
We stayed comfortably and traveled with two infants, a child, and adults 40+ and our parents who are 60+! This place offered so many unique memories and much needed relaxation- there’s something about the sound of this water that cannot be found anywhere else in the planet. This property is such a Maryland paradise and my wife ended up with a new hobby, my father in law learned so many new things, all of us felt stress evaporate, and my nephew learned new words! This is definitely an incredible find and the hosts are so kind and communicative, we are so lucky and grateful for them.

Third time’s a charm
This was our third stay at this house as a family and we had a great time again. Our kids, 7 and 4, loved the indoor pool and playing in the sand at the private beach, even in cold weather. My 81-year-old mother also loved once again swinging in the porch swing and watching the sunset from the screened-in back porch. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and we had a nice dinner at the Ruddy Duck nearby. We hope to come back!

Great family getaway!
Our family had a wonderful trip away from the hustle and bustle of city living. The property was well stocked with activities for our kids and adults alike. We enjoyed crabbing, fishing, swimming, the play set, and baseball in the yard. We ventured out to dinner a couple times and the seafood was delicious! The family also enjoyed a nice day trip to Leonardtown, about 30 minutes away. Doug was very responsive when we had questions and Michelle the property manager was very helpful and provided excellent, local recommendations. There is an indoor/outdoor cat that frequents the property that we had to be mindful of as our family has 3 people that are allergic. Thank you for a great stay!

Great house on the river
We had a wonderful time on our vacation. The house was clean when we arrived and all amenities were as advertised. Prior to arrival, there were several communications with the owners and they were very responsive. It is a large house and there was plenty of room for the 9 of us. The teenagers especially liked the second kitchen and family room upstairs. The view of the river was awesome and the screened in porch got plenty of use as did the indoor pool. This was an excellent vacation house and I am happy to recommend it!

Family vacation
The house and location are perfect for a family get away. Fish and crabs are plentiful and the pool and popcorn machine were a big hit. Plenty of room to relax inside or out. The hosts could not have been more accommodating. Thanks for a great week.

Fun Place for Family Vacation
Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the pool and the space between the properties. For some reason I expected a small splash pool, however, it was quite sizable. Plenty of pool toys with speakers surrounding it for music. Lots of green space for lawn games for children to run around and the lawn was well maintained. As for the home, it is slightly smaller than what we are accustomed to renting, but it was clean, functional and comfortable. We did have a need to reach out to the owner, Doug, with a problem (no worries, it was a weather related issue totally out of his control). He responded quickly, provided needed information and even offered to give additional bottles of wines to help comfort us in the dark, yes we lost power because of a storm. But there was no need to panic, as the house has a generator that keeps the fridge and the TVs working, although you will have limited light. We snacked on chips, watched a movie while Doug reached out to the electric company for a time estimate on the return of power. Overall it is a very nice place for a family vacation, worth the trip! I do have a suggestion Doug, please do a better job at controlling the weather or at least have the rain go around your property😂🤣😂 Fun times were had by all❣️

Memorial Day Weekend
My family and I had a wonderful stay at your river house. Everything that we could've thought of was there! Crabbing was good, fishing not so much but enjoyed by all. Thank you for sharing your lovely property.

Great spring break getaway
We really enjoyed the pool and the little things like the pop corn machine and slushies. Doug was very responsive and addressed questions and concerns immediately. The best part of this rental is that they didn't ask me to clean the entire house and do the laundry after charging a cleaning fee.

A great family vacation!

Loved location, attention to details needed
House and location were great. Need to pay attention to details such as: A) 1 roll of paper towels for entire house for 1 week; B) no laundry supplies in 2nd flr laundry; C) 1st flr ice maker not working/broken/not connected; D) numerous light bulbs out; E) 3 different-types of light bulbs in kitchen ceiling lights/canisters; F) lamp behind couch not working; G) glass plate in microwave doesn't fit the rotating rack, could result in spills; H) grass needed cutting; J) lack of outdoor chairs (no blue folding chairs that were there last year, outdoor swing was rolled up to the rear garage door); K) sense that the house was being shut down for the season.

Relaxing Stay
Our family of 5 had a wonderful time at this super well appointed home, everything you could need including becah towels, chairs, pool toys and a very well equipped kitchen. The kids had a blast in the pool, we had lots of fun with the kayaks and paddle boards and enjoyed fishing on the pier as well. Fun for everyone and the hosts were so easy to get in touch with and super accomodating and helpful. This was our 2nd stay and we'll definitely be back, thank you!

Perfect stay!
Hosts were great helping with queries before and during the holiday. Indoor pool was perfect given the hot weather, canoeing on the lake in the early morning was fantastic, and watching the sunsets in the evenings was perfect. Would definitely recommend for families. Excellent stay!

Paradise on the Potomac
This was a wonderful find—a quiet, peaceful place to read, rest, swim, try our hand at crabbing, find and collect sea glass, and spend quality time with family! We had 10 people in our group ranging in age from 65+ to 18 months, and had plenty of room in the house and on the property for everyone to be together or spend time on their own things. We all thoroughly enjoyed watching the local wildlife, including ospreys, bald eagles, dolphins, and catching blue crabs and other creatures inadvertently in the traps (sea horses, pipefish, flatfish, and jellyfish). With the weather being so hot and humid, we really enjoyed afternoon pool breaks with slushees on the back porch! Evening sunsets were incredibly beautiful and we really enjoyed watching them from the water’s edge and pier. The accommodations themselves were great—comfortable beds, plenty of towels (pool and shower), adequate bathrooms, a well-stocked kitchen, and nice spaces to both gather and spread out. Our host, Doug, was great to work with and communicate with. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will rent again if we get the opportunity!

Fabulous Multi-Generational Vacation Spot
We had 4 generations on our trip including my 77 year old mom and 21 month old grandson. This property was perfect! The 1st floor master was great for mom and the full kitchen on the 2nd floor with small sitting area let my grandkids get up early and have their breakfast without disturbing anyone else. The owners supply EVERYTHING you could possibly need for a fabulous vacation. Never expected so many amenities. And with so much to do right at the house, we got to have great family bonding time. Fishing from the pier was great and we caught enough crabs for a feast before we left. Gathering sea glass was so much fun for everyone. I highly recommend this home and the owners.
